RUMPLESTILTSKIN THE MOVIE: Plot

Rumplestiltskin got the baby in the end, and lived on long after the miller’s daughter. In a modern age, Rumplestiltskin has put his expertise to better use. He now runs a major law firm for mortal and magical folk, and is a renowned lawyer across both planes. He enjoys a fulfilling life, until forced to defend the Grimm Family against accusations of theft, arson, kidnapping, torture, and murder. Rumplestiltskin must find a way to overcome his hatred for the family that slaughtered his lover, and find a way to escape their grip on him, all amidst a high-intensity court case against his only son, Eckhart.

DISTRIBUTION

We will be approaching both Australian and New Zealand cinemas for distribution.

In Australia, contracts between independents and cinema companies generally involve the independent paying a “nut” and the cinema agreeing to air the film for a limited time in a limited number of cinemas. Based on the success of this first arrangement, further arrangements can be made to expand the airing times and number of cinemas involved in airing.

In New Zealand, a cinema may decide to air an independent film if they feel that it could be successful. This can be based on a combination of the movie trailer, the advertising material, and the film itself.

After funding, we will have to arrange studio space, locations, shooting schedules and set construction. These processes do take time, and I anticipate that during this period my schedule will be incredibly hectic: however, at the close of everyday all emails, paperwork and social media sites are checked and dealt with.


Once we have completed the pre-production process, I will then be able to distribute rewards via post. It is important that I make sure I have taken care of my obligations for this production, and it is important that I respect the opportunity my backers have provided me- by making sure I get the production right, and getting all my ducks in a row. Rewards that do not require posting will be addressed within 2 weeks of funding.
