Small Island Wines

Share the journey of taking two tonnes of Tasmanian Pinot Noir grapes and turning them into the first Small Island Wine.
Tasmania is a beautiful place and wine is a beautiful thing. See the grapes come to the winery, the fermentation, the pressing and bottling all through email and social media. Learn and develop understanding of winemaking and how special Tasmania is.
For over ten years I have traveled the world learning about wine. My goal has always been to return home and make great wine. I have saved over one third of my target but need your help to raise the rest. This is not just a one off project; the capital raised will provide the first vintage, profits will allow for the next and so on. Ten years from now I hope to be in my own winery and welcoming you as one of the people that made this all possible.
If the target is met and exceeded all extra funding will go into making more and different types of wine.
Please make a pledge and come on a journey with me.
Hit the links, Share, and help one of the small guys get a start. I’m James and this is the start of small Island wines. Thank you!

The Challenges

Winemaking is a collection of obstacles and challenges, from the weather and mother nature's hold on the grapes to the complex microbial action of fermentation. I have worked, studied and devoted myself to this passion but hope to never run out of things to learn. This network, linking potentially hundreds of people, each with their own skill set and experiences gives me complete confidence in a successful project.
