Set at a railway station in rural France in 1946, Danny is one of a small team of Australian soldiers who had remained in France after WW2 assisting in special duties. His final journey back to Australia was to begin with a train journey to the port of Cherbourg. Once on the train our soldier becomes involved in a confrontation with a would be aristocrat with questionable links to French nobility and a need to display her misguided belief in her own importance on anyone below her perceived self importance. The fast moving action that follows this initial confrontation becomes a series of comical scenes.

How The Funds Will Be Used

WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE!

Our next major project and is more ambitious than the previous projects to date.  We're lucky enough to have a whole bunch of beautiful and amazing people wanting to volunteer and help us out so one of our top priorities is to feed and water these selfless heroes, especially since we're filming in the harsh heat of the carriages and in small 'intimate' compartments. If we don't know each other now, we sure will by the end of filming!

On top of this we'd also like to be able to provide water and food at minimal cost, so that as much money raised can go towards making this film, the best it can be!  If you or your business can help in regards to catering or in any other way possible we would appreciate it immensely!  Any form of donation can be exchanged for advertising in the credits of the film and via our active facebook page.  We are open to discussing other forms of advertising! (inc. festivals, screenings etc).  If this is of interest to you or your business, please feel free to shoot us an email at one of the addresses below!  If you have any queries regarding donations or if there is something else you'd like to ask please feel free to email us at:

EXPENSES:
Location/venue hire - $970
This is our largest expense and to have access to these authentic early 1900's railways comes at a price.  The museum will not open to the public during filming, we will have sole use of this venue.

Insurance - $320
Public liability insurance is a necessity, with a cast and crew of this size we just simply must have!

Set construction – $300
Luckily for this production our set demands aren't huge, due to we already have the train and its carraiges alongside the station, but we need to dress it to take the set back in time.

Costumes - $750+
Due to this project being our largest yet we're expecting approximately 30+ cast members that all need to be fitted out in individual and unique costumes. The bulk of our costume funds will go towards outfits for our 5 leading actors and 10 main supporting cast with the balance allocated to wardrobe requirements for our extras. We've set a minimum at $450 for this, hopefully the more we can get the better the costumes and the better our production will be.

Props - $160
Due to the period piece and our reputation for our production design, authenticity is a must, meaning authentic period props.

Film Equipment - $450min (ideally $800)
This project is in need of some massive equipment!  luckily we have a company assisting us with discount prices and a few friends of Prince-Wright Productions who own some small accessory equipment.  But, this doesn't mean we have everything we need and currently we still have under a ¼ of the required equipment. -
We are urgently chasing:
Jibs
Dolly's
The largest Crane we can get.
And loads more.

Specialized Equipment - $170
-Generator 50Kva Hire, Smoke machine, Fog Machines, liquid, Portable green screen hire, Portable Gazebo.

Makeup materials - $150
Cast must look great at all times!

Catering - $480
We've calculated that $480 will allow us to provide some basic catering for cast and crew (40-60 persons each day x3days).
Additional donations of food supplies would be hugely appreciated!

In addition to the above we must allow for numerous expenses; these include festival entry fees, editing expenses, contingency costs, etc.

The Challenges

As always, we absolutely enjoy a challenge, and this time, the biggest one is the confinement within our location. We are planning to film within the carriages of a 1940's steam train. Long narrow corridor, small compartments forgetting how hot it will be.  Its going to be a challenge getting our camera inside let alone our crew.  We must also transform the carriages with magnificent props, dressing the set and ultimately bringing it to life taking our audience back into the 1940's on a steam train.
In addition to this we will have to deal with a large number of extras filling the actual railway station itself.  It's going to be tricky at times, intimate, hot, surprising, real and ultimately fun for us all bringing the story to the screen.

With our large cast and all the equipment, location, fee's, insurance and all that good organsiational stuff come literally mountains of paperwork, monstrous organisation and an immense amount of time.  Not to forget the extra bit of organising of the filmshoots that  fits within  everyone's availability, and when extras and non-main roles will be required will prove to be the biggest challenge.  Luckily, our esteemed heads of department will no doubt prove to be invaluable with their training and experience enabling them to cover for one and other, if other commitments appear.

Costuming for a huge cast is hard enough let alone it being period film. Also bringing a 1940's train & carriages to life, dressing both the carriages and the station to take our audience back into the late 1940's.

And for the first time time we want to shoot a minimum of 2.5k raw in but are looking to shoot 4k

So there are a few challenges there, which with our passion and your help we will overcome.
