Hello you generous, kind-hearted philanthropists,

I hope you can help me, and by me I mean the Karen people of Mae Ra Moe.  

I'm Alex, a recently graduated English teacher from Melbourne, and this May I'm jetting off on an adventure, to live and teach in the Mae Ra Moe Refugee Camp on the border of Thailand and Myanmar.  The camp is home to 18,000 Karen (ethnic minority) with over 2,300 students in three high schools. The students and schools only have a handful of donated laptops which are highly treasured and invaluable to their education. The students of Mae Ra Moe are in dire need of supplies, and so I have started this campaign to help raise some funds to provide this gentle and loving community with essential resources for empowerment and success.

I will not be taking a single cent from the money donated. All of it will go directly to the Karen people at the Mae Ra Moe refugee camp.

Please help me by throwing in a dollar or two, everything counts. I am taking over laptops, solar batteries and other valuable (and heavy) goods. Due to the remoteness of the camp it is impossible to post physical objects, and so donations are desirable as they can be given to the head of education to buy the appropriate and essential supplies.
