Progeny is an original Australian SciFi television series that has been concocted from the brilliant mind of our writer, director and super-star Robert White. Check out the trailer here --> http://youtu.be/UGaowqkhk5k

We have put together a 'Proof of Concept' that was created on a budget of less than $5000 (including equipment hire) - and this is an incredible feat especially considering the scope of the story, and the quality of the special effects that will be found throughout not only the Pilot Episode (From Possibility to Reality) but also what will be required in the remainder of season 1. This 'Proof of Concept' was put together to present to both the SyFy Channel and ABC networks - who have both been vocal about their interest in the show. If you would like to see this footage look no further than this link here --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeAUBwyie0E

It has taken numerous months and numerous schedule changes (due to everyone donating their time to the cause) for us to create a show that we're incredibly proud of - we are all ready and raring to get going on the remainder of Season 1 and we're relying on you to help us make it happen.

Season 1 will consist of eight 42 minute (approx.) episodes and we would like to use our project money to make the pilot episode a little shinier and also create a world unparalleled in the Australian Television Industry. We will be looking to outsource our special effects and also bring on a range of various industry professionals to make what is an amazing television show, a phenomenal one.

In regards to the budget, we are looking for $80,000 - this will be $10,000 per episode, and considering Australian TV series take a minimum of $6 million to make 1 season this is a very small amount to make a memorable and unique TV show that Australia can be proud of.

The Pilot Episode has not only been written about in FilmInk - Australia's BEST Movie Magazine's April Edition (www.filmink.com.au) it is also going to be premiered on the big screen at the Melbourne (12-14 April) and Gold Coast (19-21 April) Supanova expos (www.supanova.com.au) at the expos we will also be hosting a panel - to give you the opportunity to ask as many questions about the series as you like - and will be available for questions and glorious conversation at our very own Progeny stall in the Artists Alley.

A brief synopsis of Episode 1 - 'From Possibility to Reality' and a little taster of what's to come;

'Progeny' follows supernatural detective Zac Evans on his investigations and adventures in a stylised version of Sydney gone awry. The story begins with a mutilated teen found dead, bearing Evans’ name carved into her back. Summoned by fellow detective Karen Wheeler, the two embark on an investigation that weaves its way into a neo-noir tale taking us to the corners of the world and beyond, and into the underbelly of Australian society. In the shadow of this tale is Lucifer, The Devil, who has grown weary of death and destruction and wants out. Creating son, Evans, to serve as a replacement, Evans wants nothing to do with the family business, choosing to use his powers to help a people he detests and feels isolated from. But there is an unrest rising, a chaos growing, and as the season progresses Evans will find himself in the middle of it all.

“It was interesting, it caught my attention, although with a bit more production it could be better”
“Great premise and cinematography. Has a lot of potential but needs to improve on pacing, transitions and mixing sound”

“Really interesting”
“I enjoyed the premiere of the pilot and I look forward to hopefully seeing more”
“It definitely has potential to be a series of substance and longevity in the supernatural genre”
