The Sacred Prism 2.0
The story of this project begins with the story of The Sacred Prism itself…
We are an experimental performance group formed in 2014 by the united female energies of Brodie Sorceress, Kitty Lakshmi and Milky Tom. We strongly bonded over a mutual fascination for the history, geometry and energetics of the Ancient Pyramids. This naturally led us to design a simple wooden pyramid frame with a fabric cover to take with us to festivals last season. The 4x4m structure allowed us to create and hold a sacred space wherever we went. It housed our performances, rituals and various healing practices offered to the patrons of the festival. It also became a beautiful environment for people to relax and rejuvenate, a meeting place for like-minded souls to connect and learn from one another.

Observing the success of our first season really inspired us to deepen and expand our work. The three of us are equally as passionate about the creative arts as we are about the healing arts. We believe both of these modalities to be absolutely imperative to the creation of a holistic festival culture, which ripples out to the world at large. The Sacred Prism has become our attempt to marry these key interests, art and healing, under the roof of an incredibly powerful shape.
We aim to provide a beautiful and nurturing platform for artists and healers to share their talents with a large and growing festival community. It is our vision for The Sacred Prism to act as an initiator for emerging artists to gain exposure, and for local practitioners to expand their client base. For everyone involved to discover latent potentials and forge new connections.
This brings us to our current focus: THE SACRED PRISM 2.0!

We have been asked by Strawberry Fields Festival to come back this year as the official Arts and Lifestyle Stage! This means we will become the main hub of live art and healing (as per our dream!!!) We will be hosting an extensive day / night program of events such as yoga, bodywork, sound healing, intuitive readings, rituals, indigenous smoking ceremony and many talented performers, just to name a few.
This promotion has required us to expand greatly in size, scale and capacity. We took to the drawing board with our Architect Harry Evans to design a larger pyramid that meets the requirements needed of us this festival season. We have almost doubled the size of our first pyramid and added elements such as an engineer approved attachment for an aerial hoop to be suspended from the apex of the prism.
The new pyramid will span 6.9 x 6.9m at the base and is 4.6m high at the apex. We have maintained the same ratios as that of the Great Pyramid of Giza, which uses the golden mean of phi to specify the angle of 51.85 degrees. The way it is put together will be a three step structural layering. Beginning with the strength of a steel pipe frame for the skeleton, clad with a plywood lattice as a secondary foundation which supports the triangular textural pieces bolted on from the outside to create the exterior façade. Each face of the pyramid has 36 triangles making up the overall design. Each of these triangles is 114 x 109 cm which will require 108 sheets of combined textures of plywood, clear Perspex, mirror Perspex and copper metal plating to complete the finish.
We have finalised the structural plans that have been signed off by our engineer. Designed the façade and chosen materials to be used. Recruited a build team. Employed interns. Programmed an ENTIRE schedule of events both day and night incorporating the talents of over 30 performers and healers. All we require now is support in the specific form of monetary funds to continue on with the construction of our pyramid, so all of this work can become tangible and real.
Why Pyramids?
Pyramid energy is a life-giving force called bio-cosmic energy. The very shape of a pyramid is an amplified-receiver or resonator of various kinds of energy fields that surround our planet, i.e. electro-magnetic and gravitational waves, cosmic rays, and electrical discharges. [1]
Various research experiments have been conducted to measure the affects pyramid energy has on the living cells of physical matter. It has been observed that living organisms such as plants, food and meat will stay preserved for longer than if place outside of the pyramid. This is why the Ancient Pyramids were used as chambers for mummified pharaohs. It has also been noted that blades stay razor sharp when stored underneath a pyramid structure.
Many people use pyramids as part of their meditation practice. Meditating within the geometry of the pyramid brings the brainwaves into an Alpha state, which deepens focus and concentration and expands levels of awareness. In this state the parasympathetic nervous system is activated which enables faster cell regeneration. This is thought to be more a powerful form of restoration than can be achieved through sleep.
All energy is amplified and purified within a pyramid. This is why we have chosen it as the most powerful shape to conduct healings and creative practices within.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Materials alone for a pyramid of this scale is adding up to be well above $5,000. On top of that, fabrication costs, transportation and storage, lighting, interior decorating and the ability to pay our videographer for his support in getting this campaign out there.
We have been lucky enough to be partially funded by an arts grant received from Strawberry Fields so we can start to get the steel foundations fabricated whilst this campaign is underway. But we will need support to continue the construction that needs to be completed by mid November.
We are a non-for profit community and don’t expect to receive any personal payment for the work we do. We would prefer at this stage to be rewarded through the experience of seeing our dreams come into reality, to observe The Sacred Prism being shared and enjoyed by others in our extended community.
The Challenges
Our biggest constraints for this project are with time and money. Trying to balance professional working lives with a project of this scale which offers no financial support, is an eternal challenge for each of us. Balancing work with love, the stereotypical problem for artists who are on fire for their ideas whilst trying to make it all work in this current political climate
The issue of time is really creating a good amount of pressure to the mixing pot. We have 1 and half months in total to make all of this happen, which is a concern we would really prefer be without. But historically we seem to attract these tight time constraints to inspire greater productivity, creating a sense of urgency that keeps the pace and energy highly charged.
Of coarse there will continue to be new challenges that arise when the making aspect comes into play. And again with the construction and transportation when it comes this. But for now the focus is on these 2 epic hurdles of time and the financial capacity to get this project blossoming into fruition.
