Helen Kent, "Lyle and I have been visiting cattle stations of west and northern Australia, with our Kent Saddlery travelling shop, each year since 1991 (in 2015 we visited 140 stations over a five month period). In 2007 I began to gather life stories and yarns from people living mainly in the Outback, and these accounts were included in the back of the annual Kent Saddlery catalogues. A sizable collection has accumulated and it has been suggested "you should write a book". The reality is, a book of short stories is already virtually ready.

Help us turn the stories, yarns and photos collected over the years into a beautiful coffee table book.

With your help our target of $29,000 can be reached, and this will allow us to print 1000 coffee table books in Australia through our graphic designer A Betterway to Print, Stanthorpe, Qld (http://betterwaytoprint.toprint.com.au/). We really want to print in Australia, and your pledge can help make that happen. If we raise more, we can print more books, which would be excellent! (Printing costs per book decrease, the more are printed, and we'd love to be able to print 2000 books or more.)

The inside page photo in the mock-up was taken by Kristina Henggeler of her
work colleague Brendan Schrag side-stepping his horse to close a gate after

The only obstacle we can see to completing the project is if we are unable to reach our base target of $29000. If we do not reach our target, the coffee table book may well remain unpublished.
