We are a small team of Naturopaths who are passionate about our careers in naturopathic medicine with its guiding principles…
the idea, for a summit, was born out of frustration and passion.
Frustration that often we lose talented colleagues to other professions as they lack guidance, moral support and that sense of being part of something greater than just themselves. Frustration that all too often we get information that prioritises products and monetary gain rather than practical and useful information from trusted, unbiased sources. Another worrying trend has been the over-representation of medical doctors, both from here & overseas, at prominent naturopathic events. Why are we not hearing from our most accomplished naturopathic practitioners who can teach us so much about what has helped them become successful?
Our unquenchable passion for naturopathy is all too often overwhelmed by the amount of skills and know-how required to survive as sole practitioners in this economy.
We want to prevent this from happening by sharing solutions and career pathways. The Summit is to be a place where Naturopaths can come together to share traditional and contemporary elements of naturopathy, shed new light on how we have o overcome challenges, and to invigorate each other with our shared passion and experiences.
It will be unprecedented in Australia for these reasons:
- It is free from commercial bias (that’s why we are here on Pozible crowdfunding!)
- The focus is on clinical practice and career paths, not products
- The primary objective is to support the Australian naturopathic community, celebrating our diversity and creating a platform for our own naturopathic torchbearers in various areas (Practice, Research, Herbal Manufacture, Corporate Health, Entrepreneurship etc.) to help light the way for the broader professional community

We will be able to record all of the talks and be able to share this with those who are too remote or simply unable to attend.
If we reach $85,000
We GO live!! We broadcast the event live for those who cannot attend plus we can choose the best venue possible in the Nothern NSW region.
All additional funds go towards future years events and perhaps more creative workshops and venues. We can imagine these together at the inaugural event. Also we are dreaming of gala ball at each event that not only is beautiful and fun but honours those in our profession who have demonstrated high achievement in their chosen naturopathic field with an award ceremony.

How The Funds Will Be Used
TO RUN THE FIRST INDEPENDENT AUSTRALIAN NATUROPATHIC SUMMIT OVER 2 DAYS IN A WONDERFUL LOCATION IN NORTHERN NSW AT A 1ST CLASS VENUE WITH FULL CATERING, HIGH QUALITY AUDIO AND AUSTRALIAN NATUROPATHIC SPEAKERS.

The Challenges
Securing wonderful speakers: Now, we don't want to brag but we know this isn't going to be a problem. In fact, we already have secured several who were at the top of our wish-list and will be announcing them as we continue to spread the word (pssssst! Jerome Sarris and Jason Hawrelak are already on the set list). The idea of the Summit and its ethos truly sells itself but also the integrity of the team. We are Naturopaths... we want the best event for our colleagues and its speakers. We hope it shows!
Company Sponsorship: Ideally we would have no need for Summit sponsorship and we may not have to if we are able to create a momentum from running wonderful events each year. However we cannot handle all the administration time costs like we are doing at the moment. So we have a plan. Summit Supporters are companies or businesses who support the summit by invite only. They must embody the ethics and values of the Summit as carefully set out by the steering committee. Such things will be very clear i.e non-funded/sponsored speakers at the Summit will be from Summit Supporters, we only want to support businesses who truly support us, the practitioners and are aligned with our ethics and I'm sure you feel the same.
Keeping this Summit going for years to come: Basically the first event will set such a high precedent that we will see pre-sale tickets flying out the door each year. We expect this inaugural event to be an experience like no other in Australia at this time. Feedback and input from each year's attendees and the broader naturopathic community will help to sculpt each subsequent Summit with new themes and ideas, ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of the naturopathic community.
