It's basically a big adventure in the name of raising money for charity where we transverse the width of india in a 7 horse power "glorified lawnmower".

We are sending you this in the hope you will make us look good to the other rickshaw riders by helping us raise a bunch of money for charity. In return, well you wont get much, but you will feel good with the knowledge that we are on a rickshaw filling your instagram feed with lots of Ken sleeping outside, all of us eating a lot of not so great stuff and trying to drive what is essentially a motorised tricylce the full width of India. (We also have to go to nepal for a bit so ryan can stay in India).

Even if you don't have much monies because lets face it the economy is completely rekt and if you're close to our age (27) you probably haven't seen a pay rise since your bar mitzvah but you should still donate $5 (thats like 1/4 of a starbucks coffee). It's actually more important that we have tonnes of people to fail so if the going gets tough our rickshaw doesn't turn into a fail boat that ken tries to sail.

In order to participate in the Rickshaw Run, we must first raise a minimum of $750 for the sponsored Cool Earth charity and another $750 for a charity(s) we believe in. Our fundraising goal is $2,000! Hopefully we can get $1,000 to The Adventurists’ selected charity, Cool Earth, and the rest will go towards the charities we want to support, Cure Alzheimer's Fund and Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.

We would really love to raise a heap of money > $5000 so send this to your rich friends and folks. Our Pozible campaign will only collect the money if we make it to > $2k.

We also approached the make a wish foundation to see if any kids had wished to go on a rickshaw with 3 idiots, apparently none had.

These guys are legit, trying to figure out how to stop depression and other mental illnesses that have a huge impact on people. Some 19 million Americans, 2 million Australians have depression alone. It's a modern day epidemic and these guys are getting people to figure it out. 

MISSION: The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is committed to alleviating the suffering caused by mental illness by awarding grants that will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research. 100% of all donor contributions for research are invested in NARSAD Grants leading to discoveries in understanding causes and improving treatments of disorders in children and adults, such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and anxiety disorders like obsessive-compulsive and post-traumatic stress disorders. Since 1987 the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation has awarded more than $300 million in over 4,500 NARSAD grants to more than 3,700 scientists around the world.

Pretty much the worst, Alzheimers just comes in and starts wrecking shit in your brain. It's irreversible and someone you know will be affected by it and you pretty much can't do anything about it. That's shit.

Cool Earth: Saving Rainforests

The Adventurists’ selected charity, Cool Earth, works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. By building better incomes, schools and clinics, they give their partner villages the resources they need to keep their forest intact. To date, they have saved 411,525 acres of forests and supported over 35,410 indigenous people.
