Hello! Our names are Jade and George. We form the independent indi-soul duo, Wanderlust. We are an ambitious and dedicated pair of musicians who began playing together 3 years ago through our love of each other's musical tastes. We believe that music should be a passageway to places one has never been before; a gateway to worlds unexplored and the feelings that are expressed through such journeys. This is where we found the inspiration for our name and the drive for our musical creations. We went from playing open mics and small bars and pubs to theatres, festivals and outdoor stages all across Western Australia, supporting our musically talented friends as well as internationally renown artists. Last year we gave birth to our first EP "Darkhouse Day" and had a launch to a sell-out crowd of our friends and family. 

We had the incredible opportunity of taking our music overseas to the beautiful islands of Corsica, Ios and the British Isles. The people we met were some of the most influential, strange, wonderful and captivating human beings we have ever met. We were so stoked; We had finally fulfilled our dream of sharing our music with people who had never heard it before and it inspired us to write and create new music no one had ever heard before. We came back rejuvenated and ready to work on some of our latest creations. 

So we have started this project to allow our fans, friends and family who have helped us so much over the past 3 years to lend us a hand in raising enough funds to create and release a brand new EP and music video. It is a huge and honestly very frightening journey but we are no strangers to the excitement of the unknown, and we appreciate every gesture that is extended our way. 

Here is how we plan to distribute the money that we raise:

This will go to the recording, mixing and mastering of the record. It will be created and sculpted with Andy Lawson at Debaser Studio in our home town of Perth.

The main challenges will be the time constrictions we have in the studio. We have therefore called on some of our extremely talented friends to help us with the project so that all runs smoothly and the end result sounds professional and intriguing.
