I am back with another campaign and opportunity for you to support my passion and my business.
I attempted a crowd funding campaign late last year and was reasonably successful. My first campaign didn't quite reach my target but I came so close.
For those of you that have heard of crowd funding but unsure as to how it works, you are supporting me through the pre-purchase of my products. In return for pledging you will receive a reward of my beautiful products.
I am a passionate chef, nutrition advocate and most importantly a mum.

Just over 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, a debilitating inflammatory bowel disease. My entire large intestine was removed and I embarked on the long slow journey to recovery and health.
Not only did I now have to learn what I could eat, but how to eat now that I had a few parts missing. It has been an incredible journey. My faith in God was strengthened and His faithfulness to me and my family has been amazing.
I created a business that allowed me to cook and create the foods I now choose to eat and help others to eat for their health. It has been a long journey, but now I have developed a brand and product range that is continuing to grow.
The products I manufacture are all gluten, grain, dairy & refined sugar free. They are also now 100% organic. I have recently received the Coeliac Australia Endorsement for 4 of my products. This has been a long and expensive journey.
I am producing an organic muesli and granola range that is activated and dehydrated at 45C to maintain enzymes and maximise bio-availablity as well as being gluten, grain, dairy & refined sugar free. Currently I am producing 2 flavours, with another 2 in development.

I launched last year a baking mix range using the amazing green banana flour. This flour is also bio-dynamic and I have been using it in my diet for just under 3 years. It is not just a gluten free flour. It contains resistant starch and is improving gut health and increasing the micro-biome in our gut. I also sell and distribute this product throughout WA.

The challenges we are facing is that even though many stores are looking for products like mine, we are still an unknown brand. We need your help to raise our brand awareness.

I have been producing organic, raw chocolate since late 2014 and have slowly developed a small following. We are priced well in the retail market, but there is so much competition. One of the differences about my raw chocolate is that it is hand tempered. I am the only raw chocolate producer in WA tempering chocolate. This means that my chocolate is not heated over 41C, but can comfortably sit at room temperature without melting, is shiny and snaps.
My overall goal for this food manufacturing business that I am building is to produce products that are all 100% organic (certified in the future), gluten, grain, dairy & refined sugar free. There is only real food in anything that I create and produce so when life gets a little too busy, my customers can know and trust my products for their family.
I have wholesale customers that are interested in stocking the chocolates or have stocked it in the past, but are waiting for the display boxes. Unfortunately I have not had the capital to manufacture the display chocolate boxes.
I have chosen a local box manufacturing company in Perth that can do small production runs. The cost has been in the initial die cut, which is a one-off cost. I am only manufacturing 200 boxes. The printing of the labels is where the cost is. My printer, based in Busselton will print 1000 labels as it is so much cheaper, and we will hold the remaining labels for the future box production runs.

Box Manufacture - $750
Labels - $1000
Graphic Design - $250
Chocolate Raw Ingredients - $780
Pozible Fees & Postage Costs - $470
You can help me to achieve my business growth by pre-ordering some of my beautiful, healthy products. As you pledge for rewards the closer I come to reaching my funding target. I can only receive the target if my campaign is successful.
In order to keep production costs down, I need to purchase bulk organic cacao paste and cacao butter. These 2 products come in 25kg blocks and often to find the $780 required can be difficult. The stock required will allow me to produce 50 chocolate boxes.
The chocolate bars will also need to be increased by $0.45 to allow for the cost of the boxes. The price hasn't gone up in 18 months even though production costs have risen, so it is the right time for a 10% price rise. You are able to pre-purchase your chocolate bars at the current price of $4.50.
Our current flavours are orange, dark cacao, peppermint and cinnamon coconut. I have just developed a new flavour - salted caramel. This flavour is still dairy free, however the caramel is cooked using coconut milk and coconut sugar. As the chocolate range grows there are 3 other flavours I am currently considering. This will mean we will be able to offer 8 flavours in total, 2 different chocolate boxes.
I have also, over the years been working on individually moulded chocolates and raw, vegan cream filled chocolates. I would love to produce organic, raw chocolate boxes in the future. For now the brand needs developing, but we have the right printer and box manufacturer for when we are ready.
I am also Western Australia's distributor for green banana flour. I have been manufacturing with this amazing product and using it in my own diet and recipe development for nearly 3 years now.
It is still a relatively unknown product, but I believe in it passionately. Not only are the producers Australian, the product is bio-dynamic and very ethically and sustainably produced.
My biggest challenge to selling this product and all of my own products has been how to distribute these great products. I am a single parent and relatively limited to how often I can get into the stores to try and sell my products.
I have had to think outside of the box and recently discovered a great courier company that will allow me to ship nationwide. This allows me to offer free shipping to any wholesale customer.
Recently the green banana flour producer chose a national distributor. This means that the smaller distributors such as myself struggle to compete. It is this reason that I am building my online present, recipes and blogs.
My brand is still really unknown, the chocolate bars have been in the marketplace for 18 months only. Chocolate, muesli and baking mixes are all extremely competitive marketplaces. The gluten and grain free sector is a niche market.
I am not just building a food manufacturing business but a platform to reach those also struggling with their health, a business they can trust.
