In the beginning of 2016 Mon Sans Productions launched a nationwide search for a female playwright to bring forth an exciting new production, After months of searching we found "MONROE" by Amber Kent.
A biopic drama about the legendary pop culture icon Marilyn Monroe.
MONROE details her love life with some of the most notorious men of the decade from Arthur Miller to Joe DiMaggio and her first love, James Dougherty.
A brilliant piece of theatre set to expand the minds of the populace about the feminist, the lover, the performer and star: MONROE.
AMBER KENT
WRITER
Amber Kent has been a dedicated writer since an early age, writing for community youth theatre, collaborating and devising with a multitude of diverse people. Her passion has only grown with time, for both acting and writing, sharing stories and shedding light on an array of human experiences.
MONROE is an important achievement for her writing career, as it is her debut script on a Sydney stage.
Her aim is to support the theatre and arts community, as well as reflect on topical issues, important to the past and present.
She is currently studying at Sydney Theatre School, having graduated from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, and wishes to expand her knowledge of the theatre in Sydney and Australia.
LIVIU MONSTED
DIRECTOR
Liviu Monsted is the Artistic Director of Mon Sans Productions, an Australian playwright, director and actor with over seven years’ experience.
His plays have been professionally performed to full houses in theatres around Sydney such as The Parramatta Riverside Theatre and at the Factory Theatre for the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival.
He began directing short plays such as "Temptation", which made it to the finals of Fast + Fresh, from there he moved onto full length plays with Mon Sans Productions. These plays include, "Dog sees God", "Not A Word", "A Broken Law" and "Passing Time".
His direction has become a staple of what is a Mon Sans Production, blending wit, drama and allegorical storytelling to bring past plays to life.
Actors he has worked with have gone on to well established Australian TV series such as "Love Child" and "Deadly Women",
When not directing stage Liviu works behind a camera on music videos for upcoming triple J unearthed artists such as NARLA and Beautiful Friend and the acclaimed web series, "Sam and Sammy",
LAUREN BLENKINSHIP
PRODUCER
Lauren Blenkinship has enjoyed performing from an early age with experience in acting, singing and dancing. Lauren has most recently started her Diploma in Screen Acting at ‘Screenwise’; “Australia’s leading Film and TV school for actors”.
In 2015 Lauren completed NIDA “Screen Acting Techniques” part 1, 2 & 3 as well as producing and starring in ‘Mon Sans Productions’ original play "Passing Time" at the fringe festival Sydney Sep 2015.
Lauren has taken on the role of producer for Mon Sans Productions and is helping them grow and expose themselves in the industry. Laurens earlier experience includes the completion of 8 years at the Mad Cow Theatre Company Central Coast NSW receiving numerous awards for her achievements as well as starring in school productions, receiving a band 6 and her name on the Sydney Morning Herald’s HSC honor role for drama (2013).
Lauren wishes to further her career by advancing in her acting studies and gaining as much experience as possible to fulfill a successful career in TV and Film.

Mon Sans Productions is a Sydney-based theatre company, established by Liviu Monsted and Melanie Araya in 2012. We are passionate about producing theatre that caters for and connects with a young adult audience.
Run by a core creative team, Mon Sans Productions is here to entertain audiences and showcase passionate and talented young actors.

Mon Sans Productions is an incubator for new stage actors; often giving young people new to the industry their first opportunity to perform amazing works in professional spaces.
We're also firm believers in the ethics of paying actors for their performance work. In return, we expect the highest level of dedication from our casts because we want our audiences to have a fantastic experience watching our productions.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Our funds will be split in three directions:
THE THEATRE: Money will be used to pay for the theatre.
THE INSURANCE:
(sigh) For the safety of our performers and audience we will need to pay for insurance. Who knows? Someone could inexplicably burst into flames from excitement.
THE ACTORS:
We will of course be paying our actors for their hard work and dedication!

Printing pamphlets and brochures for marketing purposes.
