Introducing us - Tash & Rob.

We are a husband and wife media and events team who also happen to be big fans of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series.

We're in the process of producing various animations for educational and entertainment purposes - and we also want to create one for our favourite game series. That includes our whole team of animators and narrators. And we want to make this a joint effort with the fans!

If you're fan you already know that the 30th anniversary of the series is already upon us! And a new and epic addition to the series is on its way out ("The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind"). What better time is there? Its time for an [unofficial] fan project to be created to show off a history of Nintendo and to do the impossible - share the complicated [canon-only] history of Hyrule! And to say Thankyou to Nintendo for making such great games and characters we can cherish!

You might have seen other videos about the timeline online - we want to make ours simpler and better looking with all original artwork! This won't be a mashup of videos from the game. Its 100% animation, music and narration from our team, beginning to end.

The funds will be used to pay the animators, narrators and music designers to create all the pieces for the final animation.

We estimate that the animation will be 15 minutes long.

The animations visuals would usually cost $7200 for a video this length.

The narration would cost $365

The music would cost $627

That brings the grand total optimistically to $8192 without any unforseen costs.

If we were to include the 60 second gift animations assuming all 8 were sold at estimated $1500 per animation that would bring the total to $19,200.

So should we be asking for $19,200 to make this video?

Our team love making these type of projects and want the video to be amazing regardless including the 60 second animations! So we're going to donate most of our time to create something incredible. 

$5000 is enough to give a small compensation to our staff to thank them for the time they are putting in to creating the animation.

The staff will be doing this project in their free time around their current work agendas - so the final video will take a lot longer than normal to put together. Our team guarantees to have the video out before the new game (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind) is released in 2017 - so we expect to release the game in December 2016.

The video is completely created to satisfy yours and our Zelda addictions - so there's no outside funding available other than what we can source from the crowd. So without the small crowd source boost we may be unable to produce the animation at all.

Our biggest challenge?

This is an unnofficial artwork. The biggest challenge is wether Nintendo will allow us to fund this project or not. We want to take a moment to talk about this question properly because we love Nintendo and their characters and their IP and take it very seriously.

Our project is an info/documentary piece discussing Nintendo and their game. A timeline discussion article mixed with Nintendo's history but in video form.

We hope that Nintendo will see this for what it is - a labor of love and a tribute and testament to their amazing game. We do (and in the video we will) acknowledge Nintendo for their creations as well as thanking Shigeru Miyamoto for his genius.

We're not creating a fake-news click-bait piece (like the thousands you might have seen about Breath of the Wind). We're creating something real for the fans and to thank Nintendo.

There have been some really great projects in the past that have been shut down by Nintendo such as the 3D original legend of zelda. It was shut down for releasing Nintendo's IP for free online. 

The video will be free to view online. It will not be monetised.

We are not making profit we just want to make a great piece of art and we are asking the fans to assist us with this! We feel its more akin to buying an awesome print featuringg game content from deviantArt.
