Thank you to everyone who has pledged so far. With your support, I've reached my goal of raising $2,500 to put towards my first solo exhibition. Unbelievable!
Saying that, it's not quite over yet. The campaign will automatically remain open until the 30 days are up. Whatever is raised above and beyond the $2,500, if anything, will go towards some of the costs that I originally cut from the budget to save a little i.e the amount of exhibition catalogues to be printed.

NO REALLY, TELL ME MORE! I'm an emerging Australian photographer based in Adelaide, and I completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts with a major in Photography at the University of South Australia in 2012.
SO WHAT'S THE PROJECT? I have been given an amazing opportunity to present my first solo exhibition at the Queensland Centre for Photography (QCP) from August 17 to September 15, 2013.
WHAT DO YOU NEED MY HELP WITH? I am asking for your help with the production costs of 6 large works. To give myself the best chance of furthering my professional practice, I want to produce the best possible solo exhibition. To do this, I am printing and framing my work to the highest of gallery standards.
WHY SHOULD I INVEST IN YOU? As well as feeling all warm and fuzzy about contributing to the arts, you'd be helping a promising emerging artist realise her dream. Photography is not only my life and passion, but I work my butt off to be the best that I can be; on completion of my degree, I was presented with the Deborah Paauwe Award for Excellence in Photography (I received a certificate and a beautiful big print by the renowned Australian photographic artist, Deborah Paauwe). I was also selected to take part in the Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition 2013, where I received the City of Adelaide Acquisitive Award. Just after receiving the City of Adelaide Award, I was announced as a finalist for the Jane Ulrick & Win Schubert Photography Award, which is currently on show at The Arts Centre Gold Coast. Now, after 3 years of hard work and exhibiting in group shows, I'm ready to take the next step by having my first solo exhibition at a fantastic commercial gallery.
WHAT WILL YOU BE EXHIBITING? The works I have selected to go into this exhibition so far are the following four images (the final two images are still being finalised). These works are from a series I produced late last year. They originally came in an edition of 5 %20 1 AP at 45 x 65 cm, but I have been given permission from the buyers to create this larger series, which will be printed in an edition of 5 %20 1 AP at 90 x 130 cm each.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to The Helpmann Academy for the Visual & Performing Arts, who through their generous support in the form of a grant, have helped cover many of the costs associated with getting this show to Queensland. I would also like to say a big thank you to Atkins Technicolour for their sponsorship.
