'See Me' chose me from less than 1% of Creative Artists to showcase my works in an International Exhibition in New York City. But I only have 2 weeks to fund the trip!

'See Me' is an international community of over 700,000 artists, photographers, fashion creators, musicians and more, sharing and celebrating what they love.
To produce a show like this costs tens of thousands of dollars & so that is why the cost of travel is not included.
Now I need all the support I can get to take me there to fund my return flights & accommodation to stand beside my works in this International Event. (see below)

I have been selected to show my work in NEW YORK CITY as part of an International show called: "The story of the Creative"

3 of my works will be shown on museum quality high-definition monitors and in a large scale projection in their New York City Gallery.

So here is the break-down of the costs for the project :
Return Flights from NSW Australia to New York City = $2100
Accommodation for 4 nights in New York = $1000
Additional cost of travel for cabs & food = $400
TOTAL = $3500

About the Artist : Mirree
Mirree is a Wiradjuri Artist from Dubbo NSW, her Aboriginal hertiage comes from her fathers side, with her mother being European. She found out about her Aboriginal hertiage at the end of her Degree in 2004 when she made a trip to her fathers country which became an important turning point for her works.

She began painting when she was 15 to leave a destructive life behind, Art became her saving grace as she continued to paint, having finished her Degree in Fine Art in 2004 & due to finish her Masters this year. She currently lives in Orange working full-time on her Art showcasing her art in shows & festivals Worldwide.

She has only begun to market her works now at 35 & they have been received with much response from the public, including Canberra at the Multicultural festival in February, the 'Miya' fashion label in May, her Hidden World show in June & now International exposure in New York for this month in July.

Mirree recently won a Wiradjuri Textiles & Design Scholarship with the aim to design a limited edition scarf range for high end market sales for the new International Indigenous fashion label 'Miya' (meaning: 'Together we create'), see more here: Miya Fashion Label

My Aboriginal name 'Mirree' was given to me by Aunty June Barker; which means ‘Dingo’ in my great Grandmothers language, representing the essence & journey tracks of the Dingo.
I am a Wiradjuri Woman, born in NSW Australia where I create bright & beautiful Artworks. I like to paint the Australian animals in their natural habitat capturing the movement and essence of their spirit. To me they connect us to culture, country and that sense of belonging. Art can be a way of healing for a lot of people, bringing back special memories of times shared together or from a time that had been long forgotten.
