Hi my name is JoJo Smith. I am a musician / singer /songwriter.
In September I will be recording my fourth CD titled “Standing In The Love Light”.
A song I have written dedicated to all the great singers and musicians I have worked with throughout my musical career.

The estimated cost of this project is $9,500. I have some funds put aside for the recording and I now need to raise some extra dollars to bring it all to the finishing line. Hence my campaign through Pozible . Any contribution from you will make the world of difference to this project. You will be rewarded for your kindness and generosity and I will be ever grateful to you for helping me bring this dream to fruition.

I will be recording the CD at “Tone Ranger Studio” in Northern New South Wales. Recording date set for September 16th. I'm looking forward to recording a new bunch of original tunes. This being one of them.

"A Little 'Herstory"
I was born in Dunedin, New Zealand into a musical house hold and a musical environment. I was encouraged to listen to and play music from an early age. Voice was my first instrument and I started playing ukelele at primary school and moved onto guitar when I was 11 years old. I began playing drums and singing in bands when I was 14 years old. Knowing that music was always going to be at the forefront of my life, I moved to Australia in 1975 to further my career and broaden my horizons. Big move and no regrets.

Since then, I have worked as a solo performer. Played drums and sung in various bands. Toured, done session work for radio and TV commercials. Sung backing vocals on albums worked with touring acts as backing vocalist / percussionist. Taught voice and drums, facilitated singing workshops, written songs and recorded my own CD's. And there will be many great musical times to look forward to up ahead.

I have been on this musical journey for many years and what an amazing journey it has been.
