Due to an error in the process, we somehow accidentally went over target and pledges were being collected.

This has since been rectified, but unless I get the last $800, I will have to refund all the money that has since come in!!!

PLEASE HELP ME OVERCOME THIS OBSTACLE! I AM NOW DESPERATE!

When I first started my spiritual journey, I made some runes, based on a script in one of the books I had purchased to learn about my chosen path. I think they were only used for writing script, but I really liked them so assigned my own meanings to the runes and created my own runic set. Over time, they became worn and broken (as I didn't 'finish' them correctly) and as my path evolved they became forgotten. Last year, when I was cleaning out my old stuff to make room for the kid's stuff, I came across my old book of shadows and the notes I had written on the runes.

At this time, I had been been driven to make an oracle deck. I am not entirely sure what it was that made me want to create a deck, but I had already created an oracle deck, which I sent to my friend to illustrate (I don't consider myself an awesome artist). He doesn't have a time frame to do them in, so they are still in the making. Seeing the notes on my runes, however, I was driven to create another deck. I was planning on doing the same thing as my first deck of cards and commissioning an artist, but wasn't sure who I'd ask. I had decided that I really wanted to get it out with a set time frame, so considered commissioning it on a professional level. However, I also wanted to have some idea of what I would like the cards to look like, before asking someone to illustrate them.

One day I got on the computer, and just played around with Photoshop. With my notes on the runes, I knew that the intention was to embody the cycle of energy. And I have always associated the moon with cyclic energies, so decided to manipulate the moon. It was an amazing experience, I kind of went into a zone like state as I change the colours and manipulated the image before me. When I was done, it just screamed 'Fertility' to me, so I put the fertility rune on it and the first card was born.

After that, I found that I would look at my runes and select one that 'felt' right that day, I would then go into the same trance like state to repeat the same process in creating each and every card, until the deck was made.

After working on these cards for nine months, they have finally come to completion. Having completed the Energy Oracle, I then realised that I wanted to share it with everyone else. I had already been showing the cards as I made them on my page and website, and had people ask me when I was going to release them. As I like to do things the correct way, I had to see whether the runes I had used were subject to copyright or not, and if so, what permissions I'd need to use them. Unfortunately, I found out they were indeed subject to copyright, and there was no way I would be allowed to use them.

Having faced this obstacle, I then had two choices. Change the runes that I used (as I believe the standard Futhark script is not copyrighted, but similar to the ones I used) or remove them all together. As it was easier to remove them, I thought I'd try that first. OMG! I could not believe how much they popped. And the energy that was released as I removed the runes was that of a freeing nature and just felt right.

After that it was a matter of adding the finishing touches - a border, and ensuring that they were easily adjusted and the right size for printing. And the Energy Oracle was then born.

The next stage was to get it out to everyone. I researched a couple of places and discovered the most cost-economical place to print would be in China, and as such, have received quotes that I am sure I will follow through with. Wanting to release some now, I looked into the cost of self printing (which turns out to be VERY expensive!) and released the limited edition, just before releasing the fundraiser to raise the funds to print the standard edition.

But it is not a task I can afford to fund myself. So I have turned to crowd funding to help me achieve my goal. I am effectively using this platform as a pre-ordering option, so that I can get the funds to create the decks before having them created. This brings down the cost of the individual decks significantly, which is a more plausible cost to the consumer.

The completion of this deck has become a dream of mine, and it would mean the world to me to bring it to fruition as a published deck. I thank everyone greatly for their support in helping me with this endevour.

Postage Costs

• Delay in printing - will inform those who have made pledges of the process, so they know what is happening and are not left in the dark.

• Print quality not good - will be receiving samples before going ahead with print run. If these are not up to scratch, there will be a delay in print while I source another printer (I do have a couple that I have quotes from). Will maintain updates on the process.

• Printing ends up more than quoted. Will negotiate this with the printer (and other printers if need be) and if I can not come to an agreement, depending on the cost - will front the excess myself or refund money to all pledges.
