Sea Eagle SE7
INTRODUCING an Australian First. Australian
designed, created and developed project, and soon to be
Australian funded.......hopefully.
It is my honor to share with
you one of the most amazing concepts we have seen for a
long time, A FLYING BOAT, called the Sea Eagle SE 7!
It is a ground effect, marine vessel, which is actually, built and registered as a Boat....AND flies!
If you havent already seen it, check out the video above.
The Creator of the SE7, Chris Holloway of Sea Eagle international is also excited to share his vision, behind the design and development.
Chris has been directly associated with Wing-In-Ground effect technology for the past 30 years, and his focus and interest in the last 17 years has been on the concept, from a commercialization perspective.
He is the only person to design, build and fly a WIG craft in Australia. He was also the first person in the world to deliver a white paper on the commercial viability of WIG craft to the University of NSW conference on WIG in 1995.
Up till now, the time hasn't been right, for backing or production, It has been very difficult to source funding for this kind of project, (everyone wants to fly in one first). However,
thanks to the internet, and Pozible.com, we now have a new vision and hope. Now the timing is perfect!!
With fuel costs skyrocketing and time being the most precious resource we have. The SE7 is set to revolutionize the way we travel, cutting fuel costs and times in half.
We do need your help, Your pledge will go toward building our first vessel.
Once we launch, we will be circumnavigating Australia, city by city and be stopping, for the media and publicity. This is when you will be able to claim your pledged free trip.
The Opportunity
To participate in the creation of a craft that utilizes an aerodynamic phenomenon known as the Wing-In-Ground effect (WIG).
It is a totally unique form of transport, the benefits of which are significant in an environment of rising oil prices and time values.
In Short:
The WIG craft is a Marine vessel.
They are as fast as aircraft but with much lower fuel use.
They are designed, operated, built and surveyed as boats.
The flow on effect is cost savings in design, manufacturing and operation.
The technology is now mature and ready for commercialization.
WIG craft are the next generation of fast ferries, they fill the niche between slow water based ferries and expensive aircraft.
WIG craft are boats both legally and operationally, despite the fact that they leave the water surface and actually fly.
WIG craft are not limited in size by airport size or infrastructure.
Passenger safety in a WIG craft is considerably enhanced due to the fact that they are only just above the surface and able to land anywhere during their journey.
Passenger comfort is also greater, as they fly on a cushion of air and WIG craft by their nature have more space than they have carrying capacity, so every seat will be equal to an airline first class.
Wing In Ground effect technology is simply described as the phenomenon of increased lift that occurs when an aerofoil is brought into close proximity to the earths’ surface (water or land).
The funds are for a functional vessel.
The WIG craft proposed is the Sea Eagle 7 seat vessel the SE 7. It is an existing product that has been prototyped, tested, and tooling is already in place for its production. 20 and 140 seaters are also in development.
The Manufacturing facilities are in Pt Melbourne and the Port Authorities have approved the use of this vessel in the bay.
This is not just about us. This just could be the kick start to our economy our country needs.
There will be many jobs and business opportunities come out of this, eg Transport, freight, tourism, diving, whale watching, rescue, fishing, taxi, charter, advertising, sponsorships, waterway monitoring, military uses etc. Nationally it will make us a world leader in this field.
We just need someone to back us for the production of the first one. And then we will take off! ....Sorry, couldn't help that one.
As soon as the Sea Eagle is ready to go into production, the global marketing strategy will commence.
Boating and aviation magazines will be invited to experience the craft, so will producers of TV programs, such as tourism and travel programs and "want-to-haves" programs. There is already some talk to get a Sea Eagle craft to feature in a major film production.
In the initial stages of this business the SE7 will be manufactured in Australia and transported directly to our customer’s home port. A technical team will meet the craft at the customer’s base where it will be assembled and maintenance training will be undertaken for their staff. The craft will be commissioned and handed over to the trained pilot. As sales increase, Sea Eagle will enter marketing and manufacturing license agreements with regional organizations who will take over these roles.
