ade ishs Trio is an exciting, up-and-coming, contemporary jazz trio based in Melbourne, Australia. The current regular line up of the band is ade ishs (piano), Chelsea Allen (drums), and Daigo Nakai (bass). They are all currently highly in-demand musicians in Melbourne. The ensemble has performed together over the past one year with ishs’ original compositions as the staple of the gigs at various Melbourne venues including Dizzy’s, Guildford Lane Gallery, Open Studio, 303, and more. As their collaboration gets tighter, they are now at a point where they are eager to record a debut studio album.
About the Album
The album will contain ade’s original compositions. If you have come to the trio’s gigs any time since September 2011, you will have listened to some (or perhaps all, if you have been a super loyal attendant!) of the pieces that will be recorded. To get updates on our upcoming gigs, visit this gig calendar and/or Facebook page (while you’re there, please hit the “Like” button!). We have also recorded a 4-track demo in early 2012.
We sincerely hope that you will enjoy our music, and your assistance will be invaluable in helping us achieve our objective. We will partially fund this project. However, given the huge cost of recording, we need extra support from you to get this going!
How You Can Help
Firstly, you are currently seeing a Pozible project. Instead of making a donation to us, you make a pledge. This means, the amount you have pledged will be charged from your credit/debit card or PayPal account as soon as this Pozible project ends if and only if the total pledge amount is at least A$3500. If unfortunately this project doesn’t meet the target, whatever amount you pledge will be yours again. In other words, you will not lose any money in vain.
You can pledge as little as A$1. If the target is met, you will be rewarded for pledging at least A$15, and the more amount you pledge, the more rewards you can get! For the impatience ones, pledging at least A$15 is the way to “pre-order”, i.e. get an advance chance to listen to the whole album as soon as it’s ready to go (est. October 2013).
