Hey my name is Josh Glen, I'm an 18 year old snowboarder out of Queensland, Australia. As of 2012 i have made it onto the Australian snowboard development team !
What this means is that i have a chance to represent Australia at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia via world cup events which start this coming northern hemisphere winter season in December. In order for me to qualify for the Olympics, I must first take part in these world cup events and place in the top half of the field to get a slot . I have spent the last few seasons training in the United States and feel I can really achieve these results and make it to the Olympics, but I need all the help and support you can give me to help me get there.
My family has supported me all the way through this journey and I am very grateful for them, but i need to reach out to the wider community and ask for your help and support financially. We fundraise where ever possible, sausage sizzles at local supermarkets, helping out at the local rugby club and now we are reaching out online. It would be amazing if you could help me achieve my goal!
I am aiming to raise $10000 on pozible to achieve my goal. This money would contribute to my travel to the events, accommodation, lift passes, season passes, training (on and off slope), competition fees and equipment.
I will have a frequently updated blog and Facebook (www.facebook.com/joshua.glencrisp) following me and my travel exploits, including photos and videos.
I also have an Instagram account- @jgcrisp
My friends and I currently have a videoblog dedicated to our Snowboarding, mainly just us having fun in between travel and events - http://vimeo.com/user4006087
