I'm ready to make album #2. I have the songs ready to go! 

I'm looking forward to heading into the studio with Jamie Travaskis in Brisbane and bringing to life my second studio Album.

After a hard-won battle with addiction I  discovered my soul’s voice and began a road that I was always meant to travel.

In 2012 I released an EP beginning my journey of magic, which had audiences mesmerised. In 2013 I won the NT heat for Telstra Road to Discovery and also had the great pleasure of working with Bill Chambers helping to produce my wife and Indigenous artist Jacinta Price’s album Dry River. In 2014 along with producer Dave Crowe (Resin Moon) and Ben Allen (Broadwing and producer of Gawurra's album Ratja Yaliyali) as the group Shadows on Blue we recorded a self titled EP, which saw us gain success with licensing and airplay both in Australia and the USA. In 2016 I released my debut album Glass Homes. This album allowed me to share my truth with genuine songs that cut straight to the bone. Recorded and produced by Mark Myers (Middle East) in his Cairns studio, we were successful in creating an incredibly honest album.

The first single, Give Thanks won NT Song of the Year (Blues and Roots) and saw me travel, tour and impress crowds all over Australia with what I've been told are intense live performances. My follow up singles Renegade and Within, both gained rave reviews based on my songwriting and music videos directed by Eden Mullholland. The album also earned critical acclaim from some of Australia's top music reviewers:

With my continual hard work and performances around the country I have proven to myself and to a loyal following that I am on the right path. Through the support of my fans I became the recipient of the AU Review Peoples Choice Australian Artist of the Year 2016 as well as the inaugural National Live Music Award NT. Its been said that I have such a command on stage that one can't help but become a fan and I am forever grateful for the conections I make. 

This year I grabbed the opportunity to perform on The Voice Season 7. To my elation and as a result of my blind audition I earned a spot on Team George.

Through this opertunity I feel I have grown more and belive the time is right for album 2 

Now I have began writing the follow up second album to Glass Homes with the support of Graham (Asho) Ashton from Footstomp Music, Kristy Gostelow (Kadence Music) and Jamie Trevaskis producer of the award winning Leanne Tennant (Red Wine, Late Nights). All are pushing me to delve deeper in order to express a richer, honest and darker Colin Lillie. Along the journey I have been blessed to build strong relationships with the likes of Catherine Britt (Rhythm Magazine) and Rohin Jones (The Middle East) with promises of collaborations.

I am determined to show that no matter how remote you are you can build a successful career in music while continuing to perform to live audiences around Australia and beyond. To connect with more and more people to share my unique style and storytelling to as wide an audience as possible. To collaborate and grow as a writer and musician, to share that which has proven to be a gift and one day win an Oscar. 

Lastly I have learnt that family is not always blood but those that become blood and this second album is my way of sharing what is part of me, in the hope it becomes part of you.

We will be using the funds to actually record the music. Get those songs down and make them as ready as we can for your ears. 

Below is a breakdown of what it will cost  to record 11 songs in the studio.  

COST BREAKDOWN: 

Studio/Engineer -  $10,000

Musicians (paying people to spend their time and talents) - $3000

Mastering  -  $2000

Artwork - $1000

Rewards costs (getting together all the rewards, printing and pressing of CD/s, Vinyls, Merch)  $2500

Postage  -  $500

Pozible fee (Pozible take a 5% fee) - $1000

TOTAL: $20,000

And if we just happen to smash the target and have extra funds available, this will be spent on the marketing and promotion of the album.
