WELCOME

Hi guys, Pat here. I'm a folk/roots musician, songwriter, slide guitarist from The North Coast of NSW, Australia. Welcome to my new album release campaign :)  

I've been writing, performing and touring music for around eight years throughout Australia and abroad. It's all I've ever wanted to do since I left school and through a lot of perseverance and an amazing support network around me, I've been able to achieve some amazing goals through my music. Connecting with communities around the world and progressing my career from year to year. As an independent artist, I'm incredibly proud to be able to have complete control over my art and career path as well as the tools to further establish my art and body of work. It's been an incredible few years since the release of my first album 'Wild World Blues', so much has happened. I've started a family, played hundreds of shows, travelled thousands of miles, many news songs and tales. 

I've grown enormously as a musician and a person. 

THE ALBUM 

I began recording my second album in October 2017 at Yama-Nui Studio on The Sunshine Coast, QLD Australia with the help of Paul Bromley (AKA Pauli B). 

An amazing producer, engineer, musician, friend, ARIA award winner and all-round legend.  You might have seen him performing with the likes of The Beautiful Girls, George, Bobby Alu to name a few, and he's produced and engineered some incredible records over the past 10 years, it's been an absolute treat to work together. He's really pushed me into some new territories and spaces with my music and helped bring out the realness and honesty of what my music is. 

We have been slowly crafting together a bunch of my songs that were written over the past few years and bringing them to life. I went into the studio with around 15 songs and we've narrowed it down to 9 tracks . Lot's of slide guitar, acoustic guitars, keys, bass, organs, percussion. My goal has been to make an album that stands the test of time, something I can be proud of in 50 years. 

The music on the album explores different genres and musical colours that have influenced me since I first began writing music. Artists like Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, Harry Manx, Cat Stevens, Johhny Cash and Bob Marley. Folk and roots music has always been such a huge part of my life and this album really feels like I'm coming back to the sound and music that inspired me to write songs in the first place. Raw and real, It's an amazing feeling.  You may have heard a couple of the tunes from the album already :)  (Angels, The Midnight Bloom) 

Writing and recording this record has really pushed me into the artistic space that I've been searching for, for many years and I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved. I can't wait for you to hear it!

GET INVOLVED

As we wrap up the final stages of recording and mixing, there are still a few costs involved in bringing the album to life and this is where I would love to get you involved :)  All 9 tracks are finished and mixed and are ready to send off for mastering (The final stage of audio treatment which brings the songs up to the best volume possible and prepares it for CD/Vinyl, streaming and radio etc) 

From here we will be sending off for printing (CD's & USB's) and launching the PR/Publicity campaign, which is a huge part of the process. I've spent the best part of two years recording, writing and producing the tracks and I want to give the album the best possible worldwide reach and coverage and this is where the PR campaign comes in. Having my tracks pitched and submitted to the radio, streaming playlists, magazines and street press. Having a team behind the album will enable me to focus on playing, touring and getting the best out of the album campaign.
