We are seeking support from the local community, and more broadly, to get our kids and our community a replacement turf futsal court. Having this court will return a much loved area to our school and provide an additional play space for the broader community. It will help our kids to develop their love of sport, particularly soccer, with all the physical and mental benefits that team sport can bring.

The Campbell Primary School buildings underwent renovations between 2018 and 2022 (in part to address risks with asbestos in the old buildings). To allow for the renovations the much-loved turf futsal court was removed.

The turf court was the most well utilised space in the school playground, used not only for informal soccer games and other ball sports during all breaks and for intra-school soccer competitions, but also extensively by the local community after school hours and on weekends.

Due to cost increase, the ACT Education Directorate is only able to fund a replacement turf futsal court if the school and broader Campbell community can make a signficant contribution.

The ACT Education Directorate is seeking a contribution of $226,000 from the Campbell Primary School P&C for this project to go ahead. 

The Campbell Primary School P&C has committed to a contribution of $120,000. This is the maximum amount we can responsibly contribute while ensuring the viabilty of CASAC, the out of school hours care service we provide at Campbell Primary School.  

We are also in the process of applying for a number of grants and sponsorships.  Together with this Crowdfunder, we are very hopeful that we can raise sufficient funds for this project to go ahead!

If for any reason, the futsal court cannot go ahead, all money raised will be used to purchase other sporting equipment for the school.
