Hi my name is Kirthi and I own and run a Company called Drop Bear Fitness Clothing (DBFC),  which based on Australian Folklore, our purpose is a serious one. 

I am very Passionate about Manufacturing and selling Quality Fitness Clothing! 

I came up with the Idea for this Business 5  Years ago, and that is to provide our Customers and others with Clothing that does not Rip, tear or slip.  I am also aware that there are not many Clothing options available for People who do not want to wear Lycra or those that want loose fitting clothing.

I am now at the Stage where I want to Grow my Business. But I need Funds to Manufacture my Designs. I have used the last 12 months to develop my Designs, find a Manufacturer, develop my Design skills and Produce a Business plan.

It's okay to not wear Lycra. Go for Comfort!

These days, being Active seems to have taken a backseat to the way you look. The standard Gym wear for Women is a nice top, strappy Crop top, a pair of Tights or Booty Shorts in various colours and a bright pair of Sneakers. The Girls below use our Sister Business, Dropbear Crossfit. And some of them, like myself, struggle to find Clothing that will withstand the rigours of CrossFit and other forms of exercise, like MMA or even Weightlifting practice. 

Wardrobe malfunctions are an ongoing battle ! I  regularly see People fighting to keep their Boobs in, ripping Shorts in the middle of a Squat or tucking their Shirts into their Waistbands to stop their Pants from Slipping.  These Problems, do stop People from giving their all in a Training session.

We also found the Market does not provide many alternatives for Women who want to go against the current trend towards tight clothing. There are some Mornings where you don't want to fight with a pair of Tights ! Or many People have difficulty finding Clothing options that can withstand regular washing. Our Aim at Drop Bear is to provide our Customers with alternatives by designing and supplying a range of Men's and Women's Activewear that is Hard wearing and looks great.

I have been working for over Twelve months to come up with a range of Men's and Women's Shorts are light, durable and quick drying. And have added features such as a Drawstring for added comfort and slits on each side of the Leg to aid movement. The Photos below shows you a couple of our current designs.

Our range Men's and Women's of Lycra comes in a variety of styles and sizes, including Compression wear.  Our goal is to produce Tights that do not have Zips in the back for added comfort when you are doing floor exercises like sit ups. The Photos below show our Basic designs.

We need your help to launch our Range of Shorts and Lycra by October this year.  Dropbear needs at least $10,000 to complete the Design process and go into Production.

Our aim is to produce Clothing under Ethical conditions. We are currently working an Overseas Manufacturer, in Thailand, who are not a Sweat shop style Factory.  The Photo below shows some of their Workers:

How will your Funds be used?

1. $1,000 - Means we can Redesign our Website. Build a Professional Shopfront. Pay for the Packaging and the Screenprinting.

2. $3,000 – Meeting this target will allow us to Manufacture the Three (3) items of clothing that we have designed Patterns for and design and release our range of Bras.

3. $5,000 – Meeting this target will allow our Team to also  purchase another Two (2) ranges of stock. Including our and Womens and Menswear Ranges.

4. $10,000 – Meeting this target will allow our Team to design and purchase Four (4) ranges and travel to our Factory in Thailand and work with our Marketing Company to properly Market our Range.

Challenges which may arise will be:

Bringing my ideas to fruition has been a HUGE challenge. However, I never knew that doing my own thing could be so reqarding. I've invested my own Funds. I need more Funds to realise my Dreams. 

Travelling to and from our Factory in Thailand could be a Challenge.  But an exciting one. 

Other Challenges include staying stay true to our Mission to produce Comfortable and durable clothing. It will not slip or rip. And yet we want to keep in touch with the trend towards using various Fabrics and Colour.  

I also strive to stick to my belief that Active wear is not just something you should just wear when you go to Coffee.
