Nine Years, Five Friends, One Record

Good Pash started as a group of friends, and nine years later that's still the whole engine of this band. It's why our shows are the way they are: intimate, loud, chaotic, with sometimes a bad stand up comedy routine alongside the tunes. 

We've dragged this band everywhere — Woodford, Twilight in Taronga (making eyes at Baby Animals and Killing Heidi), BIGSOUND, Gaytimes, River Sounds, a support slot with Spiderbait, plus three of our own Christmas Bash shows and one secret warehouse gig. We've had songs on Triple J, watched one of our songs play on ABC News Breakfast, and somehow ended up on a "greatest Australian songs of all time" list. We have always just been five friends squished into a Toyota Prado, on our way to rehearsal, the studio or a gig, lovingly bullying eachother. And making music! Yes, the music.

Now we're finishing our debut album — out early 2027 — and we’ve been SO PATIENTLY waiting for the right time over the years. We’ve put our whole bussy into it, and we don’t want it just to exist on your phone. We want it pressed to wax, sleeve and all, sitting on your shelf.

Why Vinyl, Why Now

Nine years is a long time to wait for a debut album, and we want it out in the world in a way that matches the effort and love and sweat and tears that went into it. If you’re in a band, or your mate is in a band, you will know that there is no money leftover for extra stuff, and barely any for the absolutely essential stuff either. So if you’ve ever loved one of our shows, loved a song, maybe you’d love to pledge some money towards having our debut album on vinyl too.

We joke that GP is the hardest working band in Sydney (JOKE!! We know it’s hard work for everyone!), and to have been able to do this for nine years makes us teary with pride just writing this. The ten year anniversary approaches and wouldn’t it be amazing to have been able to release our debut album by then with all the bells and whistles it deserves.
