My name is Grace Barbé and I am a multi-award winning world music artist from the Seychelles. 

My music fuses Indian Ocean island rhythms with afrobeat, soul, rock, pop and reggae. For over 10 years now I have been performing and touring all over Australia and the rest of the world with my amazing band, consisting of my sister Joelle Barbe on drums and producer Jamie Searle on guitar.

We are very happy and excited to be releasing our third studio album, "Fanm : Woman" in March 2018. 

We've already put in a huge amount of time and money, and we'd like to ask you for your help in completing the project.

Here's a breakdown of our budget.

Recording (studio plus musicians fees): $6000 

We have completed the recording and have covered that expense ourselves.

Remaining expenses:

Tracking and mixing (recording studio): $5,500

Mastering : $1000

Manufacture of 500 CDs : $1,000

Manufacture of 200 vinyl LPs : $2,800

Design : $500

TOTAL $10,800

We are hoping to raise $7500 to contribute towards these costs. If we are lucky enough to go over the target we will use the funds to cover the remaining costs as well as marketing and publicity of the new album and the album launch.

Being independant artists there are many financial challenges and most of the time we are raising the funds ourselves to record our music. Pressing vinyl is challenging in itself simply because of the expense compared to the cost of producing a CD and without the support of the crowdfunding campaign we will struggle to complete this project the way that we want.
