Why hemp?

Although it’s a member of the cannabis sativa family, hemp is quite different to its genetic cousin. Hemp contains no THC and for that reason is fast becoming a hero of the health and nutrition industry.

Hemp seed is one of the most nutritionally-complete foods on the planet. A single serving of raw hemp seeds (just two heaped tablespoons of one of our blends) provides you with 10 grams of protein and 10 grams of omegas. It is also a complete source of protein, meaning it provides all the amino acids the human body needs. And the seeds contain an impressive list of other nutrients, including antioxidants, iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and more!

Not only has hemp changed the game in the health industry by being linked to the reduction of the risk of heart disease, helping your skin glow, supercharging your immune system and aiding in good digestion; it has been highly commended for its environmental sustainability.

Growing hemp requires no herbicides of pesticides, it has its own self defence mechanisms, meaning there are no nasty chemicals in your hemp products and no pollution created from their agricultural practices. Plus, hemp has been shown to lock in more carbon dioxide from the environment than most other plants and it nourishes the soil it grows in as opposed to depleting it of nutrients.

At Hello Hemp, we are driven by the ethos of fueling the body with delicious, nourishment. We aim to be the pioneering purveyor of supercharged beverages which is why we are launching a market-first range of hemp seed specialty blends. This wholesome range includes: hemp seed matcha, hemp seed drinking chocolate and hemp seed latte. 

The products

We’ve developed a hemp hot chocolate, hemp matcha and a hemp latte where all you need to do is add milk or soy. Naturally, all are high in protein, omegas, amino acids, and all the wonderful antioxidants and nutrients that hemp provides, plus all are 98% sugar free (the 2% occuring naturally in hemp).

And we have also created a fully compostable Nespresso-compatible pod!

You can also order our popular freshly-ground filter and espresso hemp coffees so you can make your own at home. All our coffee is 100% certified Fairtrade organic and our hemp seed is 100% sustainably-grown Australian.

Our challenges and why we need your help

So, why do we need your help? To bring this product to Australia we need to produce a heap of units as there are minimums for the factories. Minimums for production are 1,000 units for containers and 10,000 units for capsules! This level of bulk is why we need help from the public. So if you love hemp, or are interested in seeing how it'll benefit your health, we would love and appreciate your support!

The amount of money we raise from this Pozible campaign has a big impact on what we're able to do:

Primary goal: $25,000
The very least to be able to deliver on the products with nothing left over for marketing.

Stretch goal: $50,000
To both deliver to the pledgers and expand our brand nationwide with a small marketing budget.

Dream goal: $100,000
We'll invest in a nationwide campaign to educate the public that "hemp means health" and start revolutionising the hemp world.

The big hairy audacious goal: $150,000+
If we raise this much, we'll look to start exporting to New Zealand, the US and Europe, and begin to develop more new products. We'll also invest in a nationwide "hemp means health" campaign.

• This campaign is unfortunately available to Australian residents only.
• None of our products contain any refined sugar at all. The 2% sugar (or less) found in our blends occurs naturally in hemp seed, cocao and matcha green tea.
• Hemp seed protein is high in insoluble dietary fibre, which offsets the effects of sugar and carbohydrates and means our products are very low on the glycemic index.
• Our hemp latte contains no coffee or caffeine.
• None of our products contain dairy.
• All are vegan-friendly.
