I'm Your Fool- Short Film
I'm Your Fool is a short coming-of-age film with an estimated 9 - 10 minute running time.
SYNOPSIS:
Amelia Grey’s into Kay Jamerson, but he’s living in his own world, not really thinking about girls. So, while they’re stuck on a Saturday volunteering at their school’s carnival themed concert they ditch it and head off to a 'cool' creek. The day ends in disaster leaving them stranded at the creek as they get into a fight about feelings and other gross stuff.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT
We all hate looking foolish, but that’s what Amelia Grey is for falling for Kay Jamerson.
I'm Your Fool tells the story about two teens coming to terms with their feelings towards each other. The film covers serious topics but remains light-hearted- almost dark comedy throughout the whole short.
This short is heavily influenced by symbolism. The symbolism in this film is seen in the themes of foolishness and being cowardly. Cowardly is portrayed by Kay being dressed as a lion- Kay looks and sounds proud and bold but deep on the inside he has no guts or spine and doesn’t have the courage to tell his true feelings to Amelia. Foolishness is portrayed by Amelia being dressed as a clown. The reason Amelia is foolish is because no matter how long Kay keeps dragging her on, she will stay hanging around him.
I’m Your Fool is a film that shows the true pain of loving someone.
