In August this year we (Jethro and Amy) headed along to a fantastic swing dancing exchange in Iceland called the Arctic Lindy Exchange. It was so much fun we decided the southern hemisphere needed something similar and what better place than New Zealand? 

So here it is, the Kiwi Lindy Exchange! 

It’s a week of social dancing and adventuring around the South Island of New Zealand, starting and finishing in Christchurch. 

21 - 28 November 2019

You’ll be joined by 50+ other dancers from around the world to swing out in some really spectacular locations. 

Included in the full bus pass is a spot on our touring bus, 6 nights accommodation, 17 meals + 7 nights of social dancing and a boat cruise in Milford Sound. 

We also have a pass option for those who’d like to attend and self-drive. How good would a lindy convoy be?!

Your evenings will be for social dancing and during the day you’ll have the chance to visit all kinds of beautiful places; petrified forests, waterfalls, striking fiords, remarkable mountains, rolling hills and sandy beaches. We may even have time to drop into a winery or two as we make our way through Central Otago. 

The final details have come together and we're pretty stoked with what's on offer.  You’ll be staying in Tautuku, Te Anau, Arrowtown and Dunedin. Plus you’ll also be visiting Milford Sound and get a ‘choose your own adventure day’ in Queenstown. For the full schedule details take a look at our website. 

A bit about us:

Jethro grew up in Arrowtown just outside Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world. After a childhood packed full of kiwi adventure he then learnt to swing dance while studying in Dunedin. Amy is a self-described 'kiwi-wannabe' Australian with a love of dancing and the outdoors. 

We both have experience in taking large groups on outdoor adventure camps, as well as organising swing dancing events & exchanges. So why not combine both skills into one awesome event?

If you're interested in attending this event we request that you read and agree to our Code of Conduct & the Terms & Conditions to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. 

For an exchange like this there are loads of financial outlays early in organising the event, like deposits for accommodation and the bus. We’ve already paid the deposits with our own personal funds, which is a bit scary. But luckily we can get those deposits back if we cancel early enough. 

If you purchase a pass today you will not be charge until the 5 January 2019, the end of this crowdfunding campaign. That means you have 2 months to save the full amount if you need to. Win! And if we don’t reach our target of 38 passes by that date you will not be charge at all.

There are so many advantages to managing the registration process in this way: 

1. You can help bring this exchange to life today without being charged until 5 January.
2. We can ensure there is enough interest in the exchange early and won’t go bankrupt trying to bring it to life. 
3. Together we all commit to helping create something new and exciting!

Also if you’d love to come but need a bit longer than the 5 January to save up for the entire pass amount, please contact us. We will require a deposit and will then confirm a payment plan with you. This process will be separate to the Pozible campaign. To make the exchange a reality we are still required by Pozible to reach our target however.
