Why is this important?  Many families and communities today struggle to find time to create opportunities for meaningful communication and to constructively work with challenges and issues, especially in families as children reach the teenage years.  

This App has been designed with busy families in mind, to help families and communities prioritise meaningful values and relationships.  The App incorporates research from the world's leading behavioural change researchers that have found that creating meaningful values improves children’s self-esteem and families well being.

Our Story

Fourteen years ago my partner, Derek Spice and I, had a vision.  What would the world look like if children and families had access to an education in which love of nature – humanity & the earth, creativity and wellbeing were central foundations?

Seeing the effect of such an education on my children’s wellbeing I started speaking at conferences and workshops. This led to programs in communities and the publication of two books, Growing Greener Children and Parenting as an Art.

Yet there was a missing piece of the puzzle – something that would really help families put the pieces together. That piece of the puzzle is the InspirED App which synthesizes our work and research.

The InspirED App is designed to help families and communities create meaning and purpose, reconcile tensions, and help children take responsibility for their own actions. The App enables families to create their own personalized value and vision statement, along with tools and resources to implement their values and vision in an ongoing process supported by suggestions for creating quality family time/activities.

I’ve met with primary and high school principals from the Northern Rivers, Australia. We’ve now over 20 schools interested in using the App.

It is backed by research by some of the leading psychologists on behavioral change. This work is so important as it allows families and communities to create meaningful values, put them into action on a regular basis and access engaging tools and resources.

The InspirED App is close to being launched.  We are in need of your help to cross the finish line to get this App into the hands of families and communities. Our rewards range from securing your own copy of the InspirED App and books to donating the App & program to under resourced parents in the Northern Rivers, NSW Australia.

The App has been designed and been through a UX user experience testing process.
