HI EVERYBODY!! 

This new EP will be our third release to date and I believe our most exciting. It features some top notch playing from all the members of the band on my original compositions. The best way I can describe it using two words is “gypsy/dub” however one listen will tell you there’s more to it than that! We recorded 8 tracks with Richie Belkner at Free Energy Device earlier this year and Silky, our drummer, has been beavering away on the mixing in his home studio. 

Since our last EP in 2016 we've had Rob Campbell (trumpet), Michael SIlk (drums) and James Mudd (guitar) join the lineup along with Tom Wade (bass). Not only are they fantastic dudes but they are amazing musicians and provide me with so much inspiration for new tunes. The songs I've written for this record aim to showcase our various talents and styles both as individuals and as a band. Of course our "gypsy" sound is still very audible but we've added elements like big, metal guitar sounds and sub bass to really give the tunes some punch. It is really exciting to hear how the sound of the band has evolved since our last release!

Up until now Midnight Tea Party has been largely self funded but releasing new music for an unsigned, independent band is a costly process so we are asking for your help to get this EP out there. There are rewards up for grabs including t-shirts, get your name credited on the album, tickets and free downloads to thank you for supporting our music.

There are a myriad of costs involved in bringing our music to you, the people. With the money that we hopefully receive from this campaign we will have enough to just cover the costs involved with bring a project of this magnitude to life. We have already recorded the album in full with the incredibly talented Richard Belkner at Free Energy Device and the album itself is being mixed by our incredibly multi-talented drummer and in-house sound engineer Michael Silk, so those costs have been omitted from the cost breakdown below.

• CD Printing:                              $600 (for a limited run of 200)
• Album Artwork:                       $300
• AMRAP:                                    $140 (community radio album distribution)
• Promotion:                                $250
• T Shirts:                                     $600
• Download Codes:                   $200 (for 100 codes)

Sticking to the timeline we have mapped out for the release will be a potential challenge. We do not want to miss cut off dates for distribution or not have enough time to send our music to bloggers or radio shows before the release. To make sure this doesn't happen we have made note of key dates and times so that we stay on top of the schedule. The full EP release will be in early November.
