Thanks to everyone who came along and made SideBurn what it was! An event where we could enjoy friends, music, camaraderie, art, expression and a little bit (or a lot) of debauchery.

Kurt and Kelly offered the use of their magical property for the weekend knowing that this community would respect their land and make every attempt to Leave No Trace.    Over the week we recieved around 70mm of rain, making it impossible to do anything other than turn their lawns and paddocks into a muddy quagmire (like you didnt notice).

We managed to turn this:

The $30 donation that everyone has already made to the event was used to pay for basic infrastructure and wont stretch to cover the full repair of the property.

The funds raised will be set towards the following expenses:

• Grading the lawns and paddocks
• Re-seeding
• Repaing fences
• Covering wages for Mick and Trevor, Kurts neighbours, who work tirelessly for two days extracting cars and still have a truck or two to pull out.
• Other repairs / expenses as nescesary
• A gift for Kelly and Kurt for the use of their land
• Any cash left over will be donated to the local CFA and Tennis club who ran the BBQ on Friday and Sunday night.

Our target is $4,000 which should cover the very basic repairs.  We hope you'll be generous and blow that out of the water (or mud).

SideBurn was orgniased in under two weeks by a limited group of burners.  The event gave the chance for Coco Poco Loco, Kamp Kraken, Mint Country Club, Telekinetic Chair Repair, The Den, Love Can Not Be Invaded,  Space Bandits and DPI to set up their camps, art, sound and/or flames and to have the release that has been months in the making.

With such a short window to plan and with such limited resources we were definelty underprepared for the toll the weather and people would take on the land.  Help us Leave No Trace.
