Thank you very much to all the pledgers who have supported this campaign!! It has achieved its target 15 days before the end date (Oct 31)...any bonus pledges from now til the end of October will go towards recording studio costs, as the current campaign will mainly cover the cost of of having the musicians in the studio (see breakdown of costs below). The recording studio costs will come to about the same the as the campaign costs...$3600. Any bonus pledge will be more than welcome, and THANK U SO MUCH to all the supporters that have fulfilled this campaign!!! It is very meaningful!

THE CROWDFUND:

I am super excited to let you know that I am getting ready to record and release my debut album featuring my original compositions. This is a project very dear to my heart! But to make it happen, I need to draw on monetary support from all you music-lovers and fresh-produce-appreciators. If you value Independent Musicians and appreciate our contribution to society, I ask you to consider supporting my campaign. By doing so, you will be a direct and active supporter of the creative economy around you. Not only will this crowdfund enable an album recording, it also ensures the creatives and fellow musicians featured on this album are paid for their time and expertise. It means more Independent and Quality Music created from the Heart exists around you and in this world. You can see a breakdown of album costs at the bottom of this page. This is an all or nothing campaign - if the target isn't reached, we lose the opportunity altogether!

THE ALBUM:

This debut album features 8 original tracks  composed by myself and arranged for trio and quartet. Three of the tracks have been arranged by the incredible Itiberê Zwarg (Brazil) The album will also feature a couple of folk song arrangements for solo guitar. The songs I have written are inspired from personal life experiences, people, and relationships. The creative process behind this album has been more than a few years, and I have been guided by my creative mentors Mariana Zwarg (Brazil) and Jovino Santos-Neto (US/Brazil). On the album, you can hear clear influences from the music of Hermeto Pascoal (musica universal), to the music of Itiberê, Mariana and Jovino, to my musical and cultural-familial roots spanning Australia to Chile.  

MUSIC WITH MEANING:

Music is a timeless language. It brings us togetherness, catharsis, healing, joy... Music is where we can connect with fellow musicians and audiences. I want to let you know that part of my drive for music-making is that it is a force for good and meaning here on the planet. We need the goodness of music, and this is my humble offering to you...
