From the time I was 5 when I dragged my sister to the piano to learn my kooky duets, to my now middle age, I have always created music. It is my great love. 

Over the years I've been privileged to be a part of many bands and musical adventures with highlights including appearances on radio (ABC, RRR and PBS), TV (ABC), Apollo Bay Music Festival and in local venues (Caravan Club, Northcote Social Club, The Union - Brunswick, Wesley Ann, - and the Greyhound and Punters Club in their glory days).

The album that I am working on now (my 4th), has taken all of my courage to 'bite the bullet' and get organised - and the more I work on it, the more excited I am about the way it's shaping up. 

I have watched Bruce Haymes play so many times with so many wonderful artists (Paul Kelly) - and to work with him producing and playing his wonderful piano/organ sounds on my songs is a dream come true. Another thrill is that my friends Gallie, Sarah Carroll, Suzannah Espie and Chuck Jenkins are helping me out on vocals - and Ed Bates pedal steel has added those country flavours that I love. (As mentioned in the video, the other musicians on the recording so far are: Drums - Dave Folley, Bass - Steve Hadley, Guitar - Jeff Burstin, Guitar/Banjo - Jeb Cardwell, Violin/Mandolin - Greg Field, Harmonica - John Dickson)

So, my story is that I wanted to take the songs that I've written and honour them with the best musicians that Melbourne has to offer. I'm confident it's going to be a good album.

The funds raised will help to pay for

 - the production - ($3,000)

- the musicians ($3,500)

- the mastering (1,500)

- the CDs and artwork ($2,000)

Total = $10,000

Costs may vary from these figures a little as some songs are recorded quickly, and others need time and redoing to get right. The figures above are my best estimate. Ultimately however, I am asking you to prepurchase my CD - which is sold at 'market rate'.

The greatest challenge for me was to find the self belief to start the project - but now it's off and running and gathering momentum!
