Why are we doing this?

Here at the HQ of Sustainable Education we are busy creating a digital platform called The Sustainable Living Certificate Course (SLCC) to share the knowledge and experience of our world class educators. 

The Sustainable Living Certificate Course was created to give people the skills and confidence needed whether you are beginning your backyard journey, you are an enthusiast or you wish to move into consulting or even become an educator in the industry.

Sustainable living is becoming one of the most influential pathways into communities, locally and nationally throughout Australia and the world. It is not about 

“We should make changes” anymore, we now have to ask the question, “Why aren’t we making changes?” to the way we live. 

“It is real life, everyday people who can make a difference by implementing one simple change that creates an everlasting impact on the environment.”

The team at Sustainable Education has over 30 years combined experience and we have been facilitating workshops in sustainable living practices throughout Australia, sharing our professional expertise, personal and real life experiences that educate and inspire people just like you to create a sustainable and environmentally sound life.

Mel’s vision for Sustainable Education is to share the knowledge and make education in sustainability affordable, accessible and flexible.  So anyone who is interested in learning, can begin their journey into living sustainably via this comprehensive online learning hub and community.

The SLCC platform hosts videos for the online learning journey, workbooks, materials, resources, links and additional tools to help you on your pathway.  There will be a private Facebook group, live tele-classes for additional learning with our experienced educators, plus so much more.

This is a full course with over 21 modules of comprehensive learning.  Students will have lifetime access to the course and have the flexibility to study at their own pace to suit their lifestyle and commitments.

The SLCC is suitable for anyone to learn, anywhere in the world.

There has been a surge in learning sustainable living practices and many people have asked the question, how can I get more advanced training and work in this industry?  It was a question reinforced by an obvious gap in the industry that resulted in the first course been offered of its kind, being The Sustainable Living Certificate Course.

There was a desire to study, but people were either unable or unwilling to attend regular lectures or make expensive upfront payments. Therefore, there is a distinct need for a course which is flexible and could be completed within the individuals own timeframe.  It also needed to be priced so that most people could afford it and have real value of application and high academic content which suits a high demand and growing industry.
