Brett & Nick had a dream to ride or die.

Brett Blake and Nick Capper are two comedians that have performed in Melbourne Comedy Festival, appeared on ABC TV, Paramount +, Channel 10 and toured around Australia.

Brett used his superannuation to buy his second hand dirt bike from some bloke in Tocumwole and Nick

bought his for 2 grand off the internet from some bloke in Bendigo and got it delivered to his door without even seeing it first.

Without even testing or going on smaller ride to get into practice, the boys decided to embark on a four day ride to Tenterfield to meet Nick’s mates from Goondiwindi then go for another 3 day trail ride. If that’s not enough they booked a few stand up gigs to do along the way. This is all whilst filming it on 4 cameras themselves.

Using blind faith and a lot of swearing, the boys took off on a trip bound for disaster. With breakdowns, crashes, yelling, too many beers and cheap motel rooms a plenty - this six part series that shows biting off more than you can chew is crazy - but also very fun.

Brett fully prepared by buying all new gear and enough tools and supplies to sink a ship. Nick used his Aldi gear that he bought nine years ago, three spanners and a screw driver. Nick had a fair bit of riding practice under his belt but that was over 20 years ago. The most Brett had ridden was his little cafe racer to the shops so they were more than ready for a trip of this nature.

You've seen doccos like The Long Way Round with beautiful people like Ewan McGregor or David Beckham riding their motorbikes where they have the latest bikes, gear and a whole film crew with technicians. But what if there was a series with two ugly pricks who have crappy second hand bikes, no support vehicles and no idea? Also doing stand up comedy gigs.

What's more interesting? The Long Way Round or The Wrong Way Round?

Budget Overview

We have already filmed and shot the whole project using our own money. The ride cost $4000 and the camera gear approximately $5000.

To finish the editing is $8000 (we have hired a professional and he reckons we have enough for 6x 22 minute eps). We have already paid $4000 but need $4000 more to complete. Plus $1000 more to hire a camera guy to shoot the interview scenes necessary. Any extra money will be spent on making things like the starting credits.

We have also shot a second series riding around Tasmania and any extra money will be used to fund The editing of that as well. We asking for a very minimal amount as productions like this usually blow out but this is all we need for now. All money raised will go in to the show. The more we make the better it will be!

We are hoping to sell the first series which will then fund the editing of the second series in Tasmania. So essentially you paying to help us get two series over the line.
