Hi, my name is James Griffiths. I am currently in the process of directing my 8th short film, Thinning. Thinning is a personal story for me as it's about hair loss and male pattern baldness and the stigma around it. It's something that I have personally dealt with and understand the pressure one can feel to maintain their hair. 

It's a comedic drama with a lot of heart. It's probably my most ambitious film to date. So I need your help to get it over the line. Most of the funding for this film is coming out of my pocket. However, a couple weeks after shooting this film, I am moving overseas (which is not cheap). So I am asking for a little help to lessen the blow just a bit. Any money you can spare is greatly appreciated.

Making a short film isn't exactly cheap. Our budget on this film is about $2000, $500 of which I hope to source from this fundraising campaign. Below is a rough list of expenses:

Actors - $1300

Production Design - $200

Catering - $300

Hair and Make Up - $200

Various other expenses - ~$200

We're trying to make this film as cheaply as we can. The main expense is acting. That's where we hope to put the crowdfunding money. The better we can pay the actors, the better actors we can afford to cast, meaning the better the film will be.
