Hi! My name is Eliza May Hinds and I’m in my final year of a Bachelor of Film Production. I’m 24 years old and I’m about to embark on making my final graduating piece, the last hurrah! THE FINAL FRONTIER! etc etc etc

Anyway, I think that I can make cool movies that are different and I kind of need you to help me so I can…

1. Make this film without compromising on integrity and vision. It’s cool. It’s empowering. It's set in an alleyway, a queer club and a bedroom. It’s not going to hold back on visuals. It's going to be t-t-t-tastyyyy. It has a point. It's hot. 

2. Afford to send it away to film festivals and have some people go “wow! What is this movie?! Let’s give her lots of money to make important films for future generations!” and AKA have my film-Cinderella / “Aussie underdog makes it!” story come to life lol 

3. Be able apply for film production masters scholarships/artist residencies.

DALE WILLIAMS is the director of cinematography, JESSICA MALROUJ is head of lighting, JUSTICE FOX is co-producing and editing, PAUL DIE PETRO is production designer.
 

CALE SEXTON is making the club soundtrack, and KANGAROO SKULL the final scene/credits song.

NADEEMY BETROS, is taking BTS photos /// MAX STREWE is doing the graphics for the poster/publicity.

CLAUDETTE justice-ALLEN from CLUB RATZ &&& SIMON BARRY from MISTY NIGHTS are your two club dancing sensations

Lastly, even if you can't contribute monetarily, that's so OKAY! Please just share this or talk about it or whatever. Anything is something, and anything means everything to me. 

I just think, like fuck it. How cool will it be to put a fiver or a hundred bucks or whatever towards this, forget about it and then receive the XOXO behind the scenes stills, see it be submitted to film festivals, see the sneaky streaming link I'll send you & see it show on a big screen.... and be able to go "wow! I helped make that happen!" I think that'd be cool.

I need $1000 for the hire of equipment such as:  ZOOM LENS’, specific gels, a water tank and a jib

I need AT LEAST $1000 to put into production design to create one-off outfits for select people in the club, to dress the locations and for hair and make-up etc. To create this believable world for you - the viewer.
$500 for food for crew/cast and transport of gear.
$350 (so fifty dollarydoos a day) for the main actor, in order to cover for her travel costs.

$800 for film festival submissions both nationally and internationally.
$200 for both musical artists because they’re local talent that I want to be able to support with me!

That this whole crowdfunding thing won’t work. That’s definitely a risk that I am acutely aware of.

Look, I’m going to be honest – the whole thing is a risk. The mere fact of being a 24 year old chick looking to break it into the film industry despite lack of connections and wealth, is inherently a giant challenge.

It’s a film shoot, anything could go wrong last minute. And you know what? You just roll with the punches and do the best job you can do.

No matter how much money this campaign makes or doesn’t make, the film will be made; I promise you I will spend hours and hours and hours over the next 6 months making it worth your money &&& time.!
