How Four Pillars tripled their target to fund their first batch of gin

Four Pillars is a small gin distillery in Healesville, Yarra Valley. Its three founders Cam, Matt & Stu had worked in wine for years, and in 2013 decided to start Four Pillars. With the ambition to make the best craft spirits in Australia, the founders turned to crowdfunding to fund their first batch of their coveted Rare Dry Gin.

The Four Pillars Campaign

The Campaign

The campaign to raise $10,000 to fund the first batch of Rare Dry Gin launched on the 5th of November, 2013 and had completely sold out of the first batch 4 days later. With the incredible success of the first batch, a new reward was introduced offering supporters a security deposit to purchase the next batch of gin for $10. This was extremely popular as well with 81 supporters pledging for this.

With the campaign just a month after opening on the 5th of December, an incredible total of $31,200 was raised by 306 supporters - triple their original target!
