The Story So Far…

Back in 2018, we dropped our debut album 'No Chaser' and Ablaze live rocketed into overdrive. Multiple Australian tours, supporting rock royalty of both the Australian and international kind, and even toured the UK and Spain in a 4-week rollercoaster of a tour that saw us play 19 shows in 26 days, including two HUGE festivals; Hard Rock Hell (with Reef, Michael Monroe, Doro, Buckcherry, Electric Mary, Those Damn Crows and many, many more) and WinterStorm (with Skid Row, FM, Diamond Head, Myke Gray, Outlaw Orchestra, Hollowstar and many, many more). We came back from that tour, did a 'victory lap' of Aussie shows to support the single 'Where's My Drink?', and took a moment to breathe.

And then the f#$king world ended.

Covid hit, and we were stuck in the most locked-down city in the world, barely able to be in the same room for close to two years. but as 2021 started to roll towards the finish line and life started to return to somewhat normal, the gears were already starting to turn....

Since the start of '23, we have been slowly but surely building to Album Numero Dos. Here's the breakdown of what's happened since:

• Introduced Paris on bass and Mike on rhythm guitar
• Released singles Gasoline, Old Scratch, Different Kind of Nightmare, Menace for the Medicine, Next Train Out AND even snuck in a Christmas single with It's a Most Wonderful Time For a Beer!
• Played 37 shows across VIC, NSW, SA, TAS, ACT and QLD
• Appeared at GlamFest 2024 alongside Slaughter, Lynch Mob, H.E.A.T., Janet Gardner (Vixen), Tyketto, Jetboy, The Cruel Intentions and many more
• Organised a festival in Brisbane with less than a weeks' notice when GlamFest's Brisbane date was cancelled.
• Consumed more Beer, Pepsi Max, Sailor Jerry and takeaway dumplings than any 5 people should have consumed in that time (no, seriously. The dumpling place recognises our voices over the phone now)

We're now on the cusp of FINALLY being able to release our second album 'Sink Ya Teeth In', and we're taking it straight to the UK and Europe! Barely a matter of weeks after we launch the thing, we'll be on a plane headed straight for Cologne (thanks to Hot Socket Music) and from there, a 17-show, 21-day rock n' roll adventure awaits, including a whopping 5 festivals in the UK (Rocking the Bowl, Hard Rock Hell Sleaze) and Germany (Rock N Revel, Sinner Rock, Formosa Bierfest).

And this is where you come in.

Still Doin' It The Hard Way....

Ablaze is still very much an independant band. There isn't an agency, a record label, a social media team, a merch team, an art department, wardrobe, tech team etc. We do ALL of that. And we do it because we love what we do; we love writing music, we love playing shows, and watching you scream the lyrics back at us live is one of the best feelings in the world. But in no way is it easy. Hell, being in an up-and-coming rock band in 2025 is harder than ever. But we want to keep rock alive, and so we keep pushing. We stick it to the naysayers, we bust our asses, and we make our dream happen. That said, the costs build up QUICK, so we have put together a whole bunch of unique rewards and one-of-a-kind Ablaze memorabilia for you to snap up in exchange for your generous support and to help keep us going while we're on the road. 

So we've already managed to cover most of the costs ourselves; flights, Promo, vinyl & CD printing, merch etc. all pretty much good to go. That said, there's a few big expenses on our horizon that you can help contribute towards:

• Van hire - we need to get to the shows somehow!
• Accomodation - the van'll be nice, but if we try to sleep in it for 3 weeks someone's probably going to die.
• Petrol - Again, the van'll be nice, but we need it to move or the bookers are going to be mad when we don't show up.
• Food. If you don't feed bassists, they die. It took us several losses to figure that out but here we are.

We've set the target to $4k but there is a LOT more than $4k worth of expenses, and even more than that in rewards up for grabs. Every dollar helps, so go and snag yourself something special!
