Killer Love is a comedy/horror short film about sour break ups. It's about ill-advised couples counseling, love, trust, lust and revenge. It's about the masked killer in the woods, ready to take an axe to your head if you can't sort your shit out.

It's about two couples, Violet and Henry, and Martin and Sasha, all looking for their own perfect weekend away, not knowing of course that Violet has promised the perfect weekend to her one true, and far less friendly, love.

Hearts will be broken. 

KILLER LOVE is a passion project of mine that I've been developing for the past four year, while producing other screenworks such as "Ted and Johnny in the Hagemashi Account" for SBS Comedy Runway, the Wasted Wanderers' award winning music vid "In Your Fire", and the MRC Next Step project "37 Things", now in post-production. Killer Love sees my return to writing/directing and will be a showcase for my flavour of cinematic storytelling. It's a story that I love and look forward to sharing.

After putting together my own funds for the film, and equipped with an outstanding crew and cast, we set out on production over one long weekend. The results were amazing. Now we need to go back for another block of filming to complete production. The film is ambitious, and I believe with another push we can create a weirdly wonderful, fantastic movie. 

I now turn to help to get us over our second block of filming and toward a superb post-production so that we can finish what we've started.

Funds we are raising will see us clear our production phase and put us into post-production. It will cover any remaining equipment hire, special effects (it's a horror movie!), glamorous on set catering (let's be honest, we're roughing it), and any other costs we may encounter with insurances and getting crew back.

Most importantly, funds will be going towards our post-production phase, including editing, music composition, sound design, colour grading, and then getting the movie to our target film festivals around the world.

We want this movie to look killer, so any additional funds we're able to raise will give us more scope in post-production to push the film even further. 

Our ambition is to have this movie made at a top, professional level, as it's our calling card for future, long form projects. It's our statement of cinematic intent for what's to come, and what we believe to be a gem of a movie in it's own right.

Our target is to have the film completed by June, so that we can target genre festivals that happen around the world in the second half of the year, including Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, Telluride Horror Show, Sitges, and Australia's own Monster Fest.

The biggest challenge is the one that low budget, independent filmmakers encounter around the world - running out of money. It's the simple truth that this is where we're at. To get back into production we need to raise these funds. I'm asking for a help up so we can finish what we've started and come away with a movie that we're proud of.
