Adele Sliuzas, Arts Writer and Curator
SPECIAL UPDATE 5/4/13
I am absolutely thrilled to announce that, because of so many marvellous and generous pledgers, my pozible campaign has reached the target amount of $1000! It has only been a week since I launched the campaign, and it feels amazing knowing that I am supported by so many lovely people! I can't say thank you enough!!
The exciting thing is that the campaign is still running for another 26 days, which means there is heaps of opportunity for more lovely, marvellous and generous people to support me!The very first person to make a pledge to my campaign, Aaron Sanderson, wrote on my facebook wall today and said 'Lets aim for $2000'! And I thought, why not!!! Thanks Aaron for the inspiration and believing in my business.
SO, a little updateWhat will the money raised so far be used for?
The capital raised will be used for the establishment costs of my business:
- registering my business name
- insurance
- web site creation and domain name registration
- business cards and flyers
- minor acquisitions, like plinths & museum wax
What will any additional money raised be used for?
I am so excited about starting my business and am so thankful that I have such a great network of support. It's thanks to all of you generous pledgers that I am able to get such a great start in my business!!!
x Adele

As a Curator and Arts Writer I will be providing a professional service curating for gallery spaces and writing for publication. These are my real passions in life, and I am looking forward to this being my full time job!
My next project is an exhibition I am curating at the Australian Experimental Art Foundation in May. The exhibition features five artists, Lisa Harms and Roy Ananda from Adelaide, and Will French, Carla Liesch and Julian Day from Sydney. Bloom-Space is a collaborative and context specific exhibition that explores the idea of affective space.
Alongside my creative goals, I will be providing a curatorial service for local businesses. Titled Art/Space, the service will bring original artworks by local artists into office environments. The idea is that local businesses and local, emerging artists have a lot to offer each other. As a curatorial consultant, I will be using my expertise to hand pick and install artworks in office spaces around the city!
