'Rebirthed a Firebird' is a short science fiction film portraying urban gangs in the near future.

Liam, a 16 year old boy, is a young member of the Goats. When his older brother is killed by rival gang the Firebirds, he infiltrates them in an attempt to assassinate their elder, Atum. When Liam finally meets Atum, he learns that while he was once a powerful and dangerous warrior, Atum regrets his life of violence

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
There are many themes in the film: violence, the notion of revenge and regret. While the film is a science-fiction drama with the major purpose of providing thrilling and engaging cinema, 'Rebirthed a Firebird' is an exploration of these real-world themes.

Working on the film thus far has been a wonderful experience. I have always thought that the power of filmmaking as an artistic medium is that it is a combination of many artforms, snowballed into one form. This was very apparent in the making of this film. The making of 'Rebirthed a Firebird' has involved collaborating with such an amazingly talented bunch of people: the Producers, Cinematographer, Production designer, Costume Designer, Concept Artist, Storyboard Artist, Actors, Rappers, Prop-makers, Special FX Makeup Artists, Editor and the list goes on and on. I was blessed to have worked with all of the people to help bring 'Rebirthed' to life and to make it something special.
SHORT FILMS
While audiences are most familiar with feature films, short-films are an excellent form of cinema. They allow for the telling of stories that are shorter than feature films and sometimes, experiments with form and style that may be harder to commit to in a feature film. Short films are a way in which emerging filmmakers can hone their skills and ideas, and gain valuable experience. Short films are screened at film festivals and on TV.
