Sometimes, even Bond needs to see a doctor. Occasionally that is, when an epipen doesn't cure him.

Hi, I'm Alex and I'm on a mission to change the way men see and visit the doctor.

You see, the current system isn't working. It's outdated, sterile and non inviting. It doesn't foster proactivity and doesn't allow for doctors to build rapport with blokes.

So I want to create a Men's General Practitioner (GP) and Psychology clinic. Where appointments are done up at a bar setting and the doctor sits side by side with you, just like two mates talking.

Introducing

I'm passionate about Men's health, physical and mental health, and believe that too many young blokes are losing their fathers and partners losing their soulmates at an early age from highly preventable issues.

So the aim of Mr GP is to start to change the way we as men see getting advice. I believe that blokes need a doc who they can relate to. A doctor who'll trade fantasy football talk, can differentiate between forged and cast irons and who have a universal dislike for ikea trips.

The Concept

The concept for Mr GP has been carefully planned and nurtured over many years. It is supported by the testimonies of individuals from different backgrounds – from general practitioners to psychologists, and from the partners of stubborn men to men themselves.

Mr GP is the antithesis of the in-and-out, sterile doctors’ clinic, whose screaming kids and disinterested reception staff are not conducive to allowing men to relax and open up about their health issues, but we need your help and support to get it off the ground.

The main challenges we will face is working to operate in a prototype model to test out Mr GP. We will work side by side with Evolutio Sports Physio in Richmond and operate after hours initially, including Saturday afternoons, then aim to build Mr GP up, to a stage where we can find our own location and fit out a clinic to have hours available all day for blokes.
