Lost Camera Productions' Bloodsucking Books is a web mini-series split up into three parts. The series is about Cassandra Everett, a female writer who is Stephanie Meyer, Anne Rice and Charlaine Harris all rolled into one. She is singlehandedly responsible for the vampire fiction boom and has been writing under pen names for decades. Now she wants to do something else, character drama, literary fiction, something. But before she can express herself in the way she wants to, she has to overcome her publisher and a gaggle of rabid fans with only her wits and her laid-back boyfriend by her side.
Oh, also, Cassandra happens to be a vampire herself.
Bloodsucking Books, in addition to being a witty and original character drama, takes a look at the state of mainstream entertainment today, and acts as a criticism of the modern vampire character by featuring a character who is the opposite of modern vampires.

Our aim for this project is to produce a professional and high-quality web series that will be enjoyable for any lover of good drama, vampire-related or not.
The funds gained from this campaign will go towards actually getting the project made and made well: they'll pay for everything from costumes to make-up, equipment, locations, and even high quality food for the cast and crew to keep moral up! We'll also be doing plenty of night shoots, so you can expect some of your dollars to be going right to Nescafe!
Lost Camera Productions is a production group started by current RMIT Media students who are interested in creating their own projects outside of the assignments that come with the course. We welcome any filmmakers, crew members and cast who have the enthusiasm to work on a project on their own time, and the interest in turning out original and high-quality entertainment.
