Fracture Premiere Adelaide Fringe
Hello you…
I have my very first piece of theatre, Fracture, premiering at the Adelaide Fringe 4-8 March 2020!

As an artist and person with lived experience of mental illness, it has become my mission to make the invisible visible and generate accessible engagement with the community in order to cultivate positive change.
Through making Fracture, I have explored my lived experiences in ways I hope will inspire the audience to connect with my heart and create space where they can connect with their own.
I have also been experimenting with some innovative ways of building a sustainable creative career, including collaborating with an Artist Wellbeing Practitioner who specialises in working with autobiographic theatre-makers. Oh to become like one of the outstanding artists she already works with would be brilliant! I have big dreams of making some really powerful theatre and performances and who knows what else...

Right now, Fracture is all a big experiment as I am putting on very new hats (director, producer, lighting/sound/AV designer) but it already feels like the best part.
I imagine a world where the dreaming, the experimenting, the playing, the re-learning for artists, our processes and our product are valued as a professional career - yes, I mean a basic income an adult can live on. Until this happens, I will invest in my creative projects with what I do have and ask for what I do not.
I have been putting my own hands into my little pockets to fund this creative endeavour. However, I could do with a little help towards covering the cost of the venue hire, which includes 6 performances in a 50 seater, covers the technician's artist fees and box office staff.
I am thrilled Fracture will premiere at RUMPUS, a new venue in Bowden established by a super exciting collective of independent performers and theatre-makers who are leading the way in addressing a dynamic that has been missing in Adelaide for quite some time.
This show has been six years in the making, ever since I was first introduced to devised theatre where I realised I had a strong desire to explore and share my own stories in my own ever-evolving unique ways.
It feels good to be here.

Pass It On
Let your generosity and support for the arts and artists be shared amongst your favourite people! I will pop up a social media plug for you to keep spirits high and the momentum flowing! Bless your cotton socks
Special Mention
Along with a Pass It On reward, your generosity will also be made known to the audience during the season of Fracture at RUMPUS. If you've always wanted your name in bright lights, maybe go to Broadway, but this will pretty much be the independent theatre equivalent!
