NEST is a psychological drama film. On it's surface it presents a hyper-real landscape of a young girls journey from middle class life into the dark vortex of a commune amongst a desolate abandoned factory.
But is it as dark as it seems?
Underneath the surface, NEST has is essentially a coming of age story. It's a young girl's journey into self discovery and her search for identity. Her journey is like that of a bird, leaving it's nest before it's ready, only to discover it's wings are not fully formed.
A hyperbolic analysis of Melbourne drug culture and share house living, NEST aims to provide a look at youth culture from the eyes of youths themselves.
There are a lot of talented people involved in the project who are determined to have our creative vision realised to it's full potential, including music by the melbourne psychedelic garage band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
Any funds you could offer to help us realise this fantastic project will be much appreciated, and we will strive to reward you for your help!
