AM Reruns

!!! UPDATE !!!

Thanks to you all we have reached our target 12 days early!!! This has completely blown us away. It's really very humbling to know that people out there want to own our music on vinyl. This means that our album will definitely get to exist in a physical format(!). AND it also means that we can go into production with the records earlier than planned! 

There are now four days remaining of our Preorder Campaign, and we are of course still encouraging people to preorder our LP. The preorder price of $30 is less than the LP will retail for at shops - so this is the time to buy it. Likewise, our tees and tote bags are listed here for a cool $20 each (will cost a bit extra at shows). 

But besides the #goodvalue on offer here, we still have plenty of extra costs we have to cover in promoting and touring our record. These costs (revised from the below) include:

• Duplication of 100 CDs from Implant Media to send nationwide to Community Radio stations for airplay: $196.90
• AMRAP national CD Mailout service to Community Radio Stations: $175
• Printing of posters for national tours: $100
• Publicity services: $1000
• Tour costs including accomodation (approx. $50-100 per night).

Wherever we go from here, we would like to pay our sincerest thank-you to all who have preordered our LP. You won't regret it.

Hello. 

It's AM Reruns speaking. You would know us because you are our friend, or a dearly appreciated follower of what we've been doing during the past two-and-a-half years.

We are thrilled to announce that our debut, self-titled album is finished! "AM Reruns" will be released to digital stores on 2 August, and available on vinyl from 23 August. You can preorder our album on vinyl by selecting one of the wondrous options here.

"AM Reruns" is 10 tracks of modernist guitar music. This is a timeless sound. We wrote songs that are short, loud and exciting. New-wave for nighttime; a heady reduction of adrenaline, exuberance, darkness and humour. We believe in showbiz. Our album runs for 31 minutes. The same running time as A Hard Day's Night. Recorded by producer extraordinaire Robert Muinos (Saskwatch, Jim Lawrie, Little May) in the bandroom of the John Curtin Hotel, and mastered by John Davis (Savages, New Order), "AM Reruns" is a slick sounding record. But it's not without the vibrance of live takes, intuitive mixing, handclaps dripping in spring reverb, accidents brought to the fore, and DIY approaches that would get any band laughed out of Spotify HQ. Records like this aren't really being made right now. "AM Reruns" is the exception. It belongs on vinyl. Wear it out with love.
