I've recently launched a set of 8 art cards featuring whimsical watercolours of fruit and vegetables but I want to take things further. Starting with printing my designs onto a natural cotton apron is my first step. Tote bags, tea towels, table runners and tablecloths hopefully to follow. By supporting an emerging artist (who in turn will support a small Melburnian printing business) you can bring a little bit of beautiful art into your everyday life.
I've supported Pozible campaigns in the past and think they're most worthy - a modern equivalent of the historic arts patron.

The funds will go directly into the purchase of raw materials and print production for the aprons with a local, independent Melbourne print company. The first apron run will be of 25 each of 4 prints. I've chosen prints that are currently selling well in my art cards and a little bit left of center.

The success of the project guarantees that all pledges will be disbursed as soon as the apron print run is complete - approx 2 weeks. I will reinvest by extending the range into tote bags, table runners and so on.

Having been in both the wholesale and retail sides of business, I believe that I have thought through the project thoroughly. Samples of aprons have been ordered and I already have a few retailers interested. I'm launching this project now so that I can capitalise on the retail buzz that is December.
