Picture this: Intimate settings, beautiful lighting, brilliant music, home grown produce.
We're taking an independent approach to this event. No limitations - we can do exactly what we want!
- 10 incredible local acts, all playing their best original & cover material.
- Intimate space & lighting creating a magical & emmersive atmosphere.
- Food available from The Whaler, which means Tasmanian ingredients, for both carnivores & vegans, with GF options too*! They'll feed you well & are ensuring there's no food waste & all recyclable packaging used!
- Drinks will be carefully selected to showcase some of our states finest. Vodka, gin, beer, cider, or wine... you definitely won't go thirsty, & we're making sure it's very affordable!
* Have dietary requirements beyond what's listed? Email [email protected] & we'll advise you whether you'll (hopefully!) be covered before you purchase a ticket!
The event will be filmed by Ishta Sarawati, & the footage will be put together in professional promotional resources for each of the artists who play.
Also Mr Gavin Wolfe sound engineer extraordinaire will be on the desk making sure the room sounds perfect.

How The Funds Will Be Used
(A message from me).
When creating Meraki Management 12 months ago, I had a few different goals & ideas. The biggest, was to fill a gap I could see in an industry I loved, & create work for the passionate & talented artists who were finding it hard to make a professional living through their craft here in Tasmania.
"Meraki" means to do your work with soul, creativity, and love. This philosophy is at the core of why I run the business the way I do, and I believe is how I have been so lucky to draw in a breath-takingly committed and supportive community of creatives & their teams, who truly believe in Meraki & what I am hoping to continue building!
Never touch anything with half of your heart.
A year into this whirlwind of risks & rewards there are a lot of people I have to thank. There have been venues, managers, journalists, promoters, photographers, videographers, bartenders, patrons, sound engineers, music stores, & of course performers who I couldn't have done this without. Over the past year, together we've pulled off over 360 hours of music. We've facilitated the payment of more than $23,000 worth of live sets, straight into performers hot little hands. Not to mention the total of more than 150 hours of sound engineers and other industry professionals that we have engaged in our events. Meraki community - you did this, and what a stellar beginning it is!
In order to pull this off entirely on our own, we need to know you're coming. Not in a typically Tasmanian 'yeah I'll be there but wont buy tickets til the event day' style, but in a 'hey here's my money, please create something beautiful with it, see you in November' kind of way...

(PLEASE NOTE: All funds raised above the target for this campaign will be used either for the betterment of the event itself, or invested in future paid opportunities for Tasmanian artists. As such, refunds and ticket returns will be unavailable. However, you are welcome to on-sell your ticket to a fellow supporter if you find yourself unable to attend.)
